You were running down the street in a rush, bumping into people but still apologizing since it was a habit of yours. You were late to your 'work' or 'job' as you liked to call it, while everyone else referred to it as an internship which was technically what it is. Since you were an intern, you couldn't afford to be late, especially since this was your third time this month! You were pretty sure that your boss couldn't help cover for you anymore and would be forced to fire you. You just couldn't get kicked-out either since you were working where you'd like to work one day, King Entertainment or King Ent. It was one of the biggest international record labels around the world. A lot of the biggest stars, such as singers, actors, bands, and groups were signed under it.

You, personally, wanted to be a video producer and/or director working in the music industry because you were an avid fan of video production, especially music videos. You wanted to create videos to express creativity and individuality, as well as make it a piece of unforgettable art. Most people didn't share the same perspective as you on video production, they merely thought it was something to make the individuals look better or flaunt the amount of money they had. You, on the other hand, were always amazed by how one televised image could practically tell you a whole story, it just consistently left such a huge impact on you, especially the music videos that were made in the music industry for an artist. They always looked so high budget and would always catch your attention the moment they'd start to play. If you were to be honest, you'd probably preferred the actual music video over the song itself. Partially due to the fact that you usually wouldn't notice the music, it was just another minor detail that created sounds in the background as if it were a sound effect.

If possible you wanted to start your own record label/company, but if not, you at least wanted to get a job at King Ent. They were huge, had good pay, and you already knew just about everyone in the building. Even if you loved shooting and recording videos, planning out scenes and having control over things, there was a factor that made you slightly conflicted on whether or not you wanted to pursue it as a career. The only con of this whole situation was that you had to work with people. It's not that you hated people, but when working as an intern over a long period of time, you learned just how stuck up, rude and self-centred most celebrities were.

More than anything, you hated people like them the most. People who have everything. People who act all fake and perfect on camera but are totally different in real life—and not in a good way. People who couldn't even share or spare a single dollar let alone a cent to the less fortunate. People who have money and power and would just flaunt it in front of other people's face. They just took everything they had for granted.

It could be that you just hated fake people. You remembered having 'friends' who'd treat you like you actually belonged with them but then talk crap about you behind your back. It'd just be this never-ending cycle, which had caused you to have trust issues as well as very few friends you'd be close with. It was also a problem that started way back from your childhood. Your family was once stable and got through day-to-day, but that life was very short-lived because your father had accidentally passed away due to a car accident, and he was the only one bringing in income.

Your mom had tried to make up for his loss and started to work multiple part-time jobs, but it was quite hard for her as she had to provide for her family of 2 and still had to deal with the pain and remorse about her loved one passing away. She might have thought that she had fooled your older sibling that she was okay but you knew everything.

So in order to be less of a burden to your family, specifically your mother, you decided to learn how to do things around the house such as cook, do the dishes, do the laundry, clean and etc. And due to those hard times and experiences you've gone through, you became what you are today; a beautiful, strong, and independent woman. You couldn't have made it through it all without your motivation or desire to run after your dream job. It was basically what you had worked your entire life for, the one goal in life that mattered more than anything, your sacrifices would be enough proof of how much it meant to you.

But before anything could actually happen, you needed to graduate university first, then hopefully come back to this building as a staff member and not an intern. Which probably wasn't going to happen anytime soon considering your horrible reputation, tardiness and impression you've left on the executives and CEOs of the company.

To make your circumstances even worse, today was supposed one day you absolutely couldn't afford to miss as a V.I.P was coming to shoot a music video for a hit song and latest single. The apparent singer is a soloist, extremely popular, successful and the very pride of the entertainment industry itself. But with lady luck not being on your side, you were about half an hour to an hour late, The simple thought of you arriving late again made you want to die, especially with the lecture you would most likely receive... Well, that's if you don't get fired instead.

Too caught up in your own thoughts, you didn't notice that you were nearing your destination. You walked to a corner that was down the street and turned sharply to the left. If you just continued to walk straight, you'd be at King Ent. in no time. As soon as you turned on your heel to face the left side of the next road, you bumped into something warm and hard. It also felt, slightly muscular too? You then put all the clues together and grasped the situation; you had ended up walking into somebody, specifically into a male's chest. Which took you by surprise and made you forget about your previous thoughts.

     "Ah sorry I-"

"Watch where you're going you dumbass!" Someone growled at you, in a particularly deep voice too.

Taken back from the person's response, you just said the first thought that came to mind, "Pft, I'm the dumbass? I don't recall being the rude jerk who can't even accept a simple apology." You turned around to see the face of the person that called you a dumbass and see their reaction but your eyes widened the moment you laid eyes on the face of the person who you had bumped into.

It was your company's biggest rising idol, Hirai Arata, also known by his stage name, Arata. You didn't expect for him to be the singer that was coming to shoot the music video. He was supposed to be on tour right now to your knowledge.

"Uhhh... Ummm..." You were at a loss for words, you were talking to a celebrity who has a huge influence over society at the moment. A celebrity who was signed under the company you were interning at nonetheless. Your internship at King Ent. could end in a matter of minutes if Arata decided to tell the company about what you did.

Arata snickered at your sudden silence, "What happened? Cat got your tongue, tiger? Or are you just dazed after being charmed by my good looks?"

Your mouth responded automatically, almost as if it was a habit of yours, "No, but I didn't realize what a pompous, narcissist brat you are. But it really is a shame you can't photoshop your personality too, I mean, after all, you do look a lot better on magazine covers than in person." As soon as your sentence had ended, you realized what you said and had your hands fly over your mouth in order to prevent yourself from talking any further.

He seemed to be genuinely surprised that a female didn't swoon at the sight of him or apologize, and instead continued to talk back.

Instead of apologizing and wounding your womanly pride, you decided to just walk past him, at a fast pace, and head straight for the building. In order to dodge the internationally famous singer you put your head down to avoid eye contact, but unfortunately for you, your shoulder brushed against his arm and the physical contact from you was enough to send thrilling chills down Arata's spine. You, on the other hand, didn't feel anything, and just kept asking yourself why you had to run into him and that you'd probably end up dead for touching someone of his status, even if it was by accident. You then started talking to yourself out loud and hitting yourself for making yourself look like an idiot in public and in front of a superstar at that.

You were too caught up in that thought while being frustrated and embarrassed at yourself that you didn't notice the dangerous pair of gleaming eyes following your every movement, clearly intrigued by your persona.
