Sweet music filtered off the walls as Tom sung, his fingers lacing the bass guitar, the house was silent, after all he lived alone, the quad had broke up after the entire Tord incident, Edd had then died from cancer, two heartbreaking deaths, according to doctors. Edds death had left impact, The ashes sitting in an hourglass on the fireplace mantle, so even after death Edd could tell Matt how much time he wasted on looking in the mirror.

The deaths were still on everyone's mind, although one question remained, where was Tord? After all his face was all over the news for months, and all that pain, of Tom and Matt having to go in for questioning?

Tom sighed, his hands gripped the bass guitar, which he had given the name Susan, he put 'her' down beside his bed, standing and stretching, he gave off a long hum of the song he's been working on, before climbing onto his windowsill, the curtains closed but the window open, it gave off a nice breeze, perfect for thinking up lyrics.

"So close to where you came from.
Plugged in I'm in your world now.
So lost without a map.
You drop me off on the highest mountain."
He sang, the melody had such a sweet tone, his voice reaching the high notes of the opening tune, definitely something to practice on Susan, maybe even post on YouTube?

"You know I'm dying out here.
Lost hope and my will to live.
In your bed my heart is hopeless.
You're so cruel to treat me like this."
As he continued singing, he heard a voice, a familiar tone, too familiar, it sung along with him..
He opened the curtain just enough to peek out, there he saw his next door neighbors window, but the problem was nobody had been there in so long! That house was for sale for years! Maybe someone had moved in? After all Tom hasn't been outside in nearly weeks! He just shopped online and slept.. Did he miss something?

Tom felt a sickness in his stomach, strangely the tune was still being sung, he was so confused..

"Tom? Is that you?" The voice was laced with humor, whoever that was they thought this was funny. "Cat got your tongue?"

".... Show yourself" Tom growled, he glared, whoever that was he knew them, and they knew him, he wanted to know who that was.

"Ah, I knew it was my brave solider!"

-If you wanted to know, the song Tom was singing was Game Freak (Acoustic) by Ghost Town, check it out! It plays a big part in this book. And I'm sorry for such a short chapter! I promise I'll make a longer one soon.-
