On March 20th, spring finally arrived. The small town of Alverton, as known as the Blossom town. Soulfully known for its cherry blossom trees. People traveled just to see them bloom in spring, and the small shops and gift stores were busy this time of year.

The elders would sit on the park benches and tell their grandchildren stories. On this particular day, the town was busy. People from all over had come to see the trees again. Shops were busy and crowded. Girls carried baskets of cherry blossom flowers and handed them out as an offering to people. The blossoms were a symbol of luck in the town. The most sacred thing and well known thing about this small town. The cherry blossom festival was also a common thing in the town. Lasting more than two weeks, just to celebrate the towns wonderful history. It was only founded fifteen years ago, by the town leader, Takimea. Kouhi, the son of Takimea, previously took the title two year ago when his father fell terrible ill. The people of Alverton remained by his side until his time. Kouhi promised he would take care of all, and give them what they needed.

Kouhi was a good leader, he stood by his people and made any situation better. Even the visitors saw his great leadership skills. He could always be easily found roaming the village and having fun with the children. And making small talk with the elders. Despite his overall leadership skills and the defined form. He was only nineteen. Taking on the position as town leader had matured him, turned him into a strong, but gentle hearted man.

Kouhi, had took the time out of his day to walk to pathway to the town shops. Every step he was met with a new smile from someone. He stopped at one point to talk to elder Annie. "Annie, its good to see you today. You seem to be doing well." He gave her a warm friendly smile at whish she had replied, "You're a charmer Kouhi, just like your father. But as well as I look, I still feel old." She laughed a bit at her small joke and gave him a cherry blossom. "Thank you," he took the blossom and gently held it in the palm of his hand. He continued on his walk, enjoying all the beauties the town had to offer. Upon arrival to the shops, he could tell that the early rush had started. Most of the shops were overly busy with customers. A little girl walked by and stopped behind him. "Kouhi! You have made it just in time, I have one more cherry blossom left. I wanted to give it to Naomi, but I can't find her." He turned around to see Kathy, Her dark brown hair tired into ponytails and her blue eyes looked at him as if begging to help her. He smiled and took the cherry blossom from her and patted her head. She smiled and gave him a hug before running off. Kouhi took a moment to look around to see if he could possibly find Naomi. He knew she didn't take time to come to the town when she had things to take care of. Being her mother. Her mother was unable to do much around the house after her accident.

After the quick assessment that Naomi would probably not be in town today, he decided to make a stop at her house. On the walk there he had walked by a flower shop and thought that if he was going to be going to her house, it be nice to give her mother some flowers. Naomi was standing outside water flowers by the time Kouhi had gotten to her house. He placed his hand gently on the white picket fence gate and slowly opened it. "Naomi, busy day?" She turned around and smiled at him. "Mother, her back is hurting again today." He walks up to her and hands her the flowers. "For your mother, I thought that she should receive something as well today." He also had handed her the cherry blossom Kathy had given him, "Kathy found me in the town today, she was saving that one just for you." Naomi gave him a small kiss on the check just before thanking him and inviting him in for tea. The whole house had the smell of lavender, the light peaking in through the windows. It was always to lively in the house even though nothing ever happened. Naomi just had her own special way of making things more lively.

"You've been busy today, the place looks like you could eat off the floor. Then again when does it not look that way?" He smiled as Naomi's mother walked into the room. "Kouhi, I wasn't expecting you here today." She takes his hand and firmly shakes it. "Oh, I got you flowers, I gave them to Naomi," he looks over at Naomi, whos already put the flowers into a beautiful blue vase. She smiles and takes the vase. She walks over to the window and puts them on the window sill. She admires them for a while before turning back around to look at them. "I love them, they are beautiful." She walks out of the room leaving Kouhi and Naomi alone in the kitchen.
