Crisis Averted

Part 1

Delta was driving home from school after a long day. Luckily, it was Friday, so he had the entire weekend to look forward to, but little did he know he was in for the most eventful part of it that evening. He pulled into the garage of the small suburban home he shared with his older sister. While they only had one spot in the said garage, they decided Delta would have it, as he had a rather fancy 1980's sports car, whereas Vixy preferred a modern sedan.

Delta exited his car, promptly locking it, and entered the house. He had seen Vixy's car, indicating she was home, which was unusual this early in the day. Usually, she had work or classes until while later than it was, so she was probably just in her room with a heavier workload than usual.  Midterms were soon. At least that was what Delta reasoned. However, this was not the case, as he peeked into the open door just as she burst out of her closet, carrying many potential outfits. 

She noticed him standing there and promptly exclaimed "Oh, hey, you're home! I've got a date with Jaja tonight, but I can't decide what to wear! Maybe you could help?" 

He softly laughed, and then looked her in the eyes, giving her a concerned look. "You don't usually get this anxious about dates anymore. There's something else here, isn't there?"

"Well, yeah, I kinda want to propose to her tonight." Vixy managed to get out nervously. "But hey! No changing the topic! You gonna help or not?!" she quickly recovered. 

Delta sighed. "You know I'm terrible at fashion, but if I were you, I'd go with the cyan dress. Jaja really likes your eyes, so I'd wear something that matches them" he stated plainly. 

She looked at him with surprise.  "Did you just actually demonstrate a basic understanding of fashion or romance?" she asked sarcastically. She then glanced at the clock and stood up. "Well, I have to go" she finished and walked outside to her car.
