I picked Hazel up at 5, like I said, and we drove by Michaels. They said they'd just follow us there, so we drove to the park and parked in the lot.
"Hazel and I have passes, so you guys will have to pay five dollars to get in." I explained as we approached the place.
"Well that's good because I brought $20," Ashton said, smiling at me.
"I brought $25!" Luke said, smirking.
Haha, they were adorable. "So, guys, That's Hazel. Hazel, this is Ashton, Luke, and Calum."
They all swapped their hellos and waves, then we went inside.
"I wanna ride the Farris wheel," They jumped around. Wow they're excited. But it was making this fun.
We made our way to the farris wheel, and gave the man a ticket per person. I climbed in a cart, followed by Michael, then Hazel, then Luke.
Calum and Ashton went in the next one, with two other boys who matched their quirk tonight. They seemed to get along well.
I could feel the weird attraction and tension between Hazel and Luke so I decided to speak up, "So, Hazel. How are you and Sam?"
"Well Sam's out of town for a week, he just left today."
"That's cool, where to?" Luke asked.
"Um, I don't remember. He told me last night." Hazel said.
"Ahh, well I'm sure that's a lovely place," Luke joked around, smirking.
Hazel laughed.
I got out my phone when we were at the top of the wheel. "Selfie?"
I snapped a picture or two of all of us in the cart. It was amazing, you could see the whole park!
"This view is incredible," Michael said. Luke was taking pictures of it, and one of himself.
"Mhm, just wait til you try their funnel cake," I said.
"Is that Alex from highschool in the cart across from us?" Hazel asked.
We looked over. "Oh my gosh. It is."
"ALEX!!" Hazel yelled excitedly. He looked over, "HAZEL? IS THAT YOU?"
They waved and we got off of the farris wheel. Alex came over and talked to us for a bit.
"We're going to go get funnel cake now," Luke said as we all turned away, walking.
"Bye, nice to see you two," Alex said genuinely.
Calum, Ashton, Luke, Michael, and Hazel all sat around me at the table, four to a bench.
"You weren't joking this is really good," they smiled.
After we were done eating we went to play the carnival games and what not.
"I won you a stuffed animal," I heard Luke tell Hazel.
She smiled, "Don't you have a girlfriend?"
He shook his head, "Nope. But I don't want this."
She shrugged and put it in her bag.
"Rachel!" Ashton called.
"What?"
"I bet you I can hit the top," He smirked. We were at the one where you hit the lever thing and the metal ball shoots to the top to hit the bell.
"You're just trying to be a show-off," Calum said.
I laughed, it was probably pretty true.
The games were fun, as well as the house of mirrors and the petting zoo.
We walked around the park for a bit, then decided to head to the parking lot. The boys said goodbye and got in Michael's car as Hazel leaned on mine smoking her vape.
"Did you have fun?" I asked.
Michael nodded, "Mhm. We'll have to come again sometime."
I nodded to the idea, "Yeah, of course." We hugged and when we let go I kissed his cheek. "Bye."
"Bye, Rachel."
I waved to all of them as they drove off. Hazel and I got in my car and drove to her house so I could drop her off. We sat in her drive way.
"I don't know what Luke's whole issue is. He wouldn't stop staring at me and being nice it was awfully adorable."
I sighed, "He probably thinks you're really pretty. You look kind of like his ex girlfriend Alice though. That might be it."
She shrugged, "Maybe. Whatever. I'll see you at Starbucks on your shift this week. Night."
"Night." I backed out of her drive and headed home.
I unlocked the doors and went inside to my room. That was actually really fun.
Rachel, Come to the hospital, quick. It's Ashton. Michael texted.
I literally just got home.
Be there in a little bit, okay
What did he do now?
No, like, right now. He's not coming to. He fell off the roof.....long story. I know he'd want you to be here.
Oh god. I put down my stuff and got back in my car, going to the hospital. "Irwin."
The nurse took me to his room, where all the boys were. Michael hugged me tight and pecked my cheek. Luke and Calum hugged me.
"What the hell, Ashton. You can't just get on top of roofs and fall," I said, standing next to him, well aware he was not in a state of mind.
His monitor was showing signs of being alive, but he wasn't awake yet, just unconcious and Bandaged.
"You all are going to have to leave the room until he wakes up now." The nurse said in a rather bitchy tone.
"Excuse me ma'am, I'm not experienced or anything, but we are allowed to be in here as long as he is in condition."
"No, get out." She literally pushed us out. Rude.
"Something's not right with that nurse, she's acting weird," Calum said.
"I know. I don't trust her either."
I was a blurr of emotions. Why was he on the roof? Dumbass. What about me and all his friends? What if he were dead? And why do I care so much?
I sighed and put my head on Michael's shoulder, and fell asleep.
