Lazy day

When I wake up the next morning I feel like hell. My eyes feel puffy and my head throbs. Also, my elbow is a purple color from yesterday's incident. I roll off of my bed and fall onto the floor. Groaning, I get up, shower, and put on Jack's OBEY crewneck (I honestly have no idea why it's even in my house) overtop of my cat pajamas. The weekend has arrived after an overly-long 5 days of school. I slowly make my way downstairs into the living room where Cameron is sitting, playing a video game. I sit down beside him and pull my legs up onto the couch.

"Hey Cam" I smile at him. He looks at me and smirks.

"Olivia, you do know that its 12:00 in the afternoon, right?" he asks me. I laugh and hug my knees.

"Teens sleep in. Period." I say while chuckling. He rolls his eyes and turns back to his game. Just before he unpauses it, he turns back to me with a quizzical look on his face.

"By the way, where did you get that sweatshirt? It's way too big for you and it smells like dude" he asks. I purse my lips, not wanting to lie but also not wanting to be teased relentlessly.

"My friend gave it to me" I lie. He shrugs and unpauses the game. I exhale. My legs are already swinging off the couch when my phone rings. I pull it out of my pocket and pick it up.

"Hello?" I say quietly, walking out of the room.

Hi Liv, it's Jack

"Hey Jack!"

I was wondering if you wanted to do something today

"Um, yeah, that would be great" I smile into my phone.

Maybe we could go see a movie. The Fault In Our Stars is in theaters right now. Have you read it?

"Oh my god yes! It's amazing!"

Cool! Pick you up at, lets say, 7:00?

"Sounds great! Love you"

Love you too, bye

"Bye". I hang up and lean against the wall, smiling.

I go into the bathroom and realize that its my time of the month. I search the cupboards for some "things" and realize that I'm out.

"Oh hell no" I say quietly. I go into my room and grab my phone. I quickly text my mom and ask her to pick me up some "things". I go into my Instagram and wait for her to reply. As I go to see if she got the message, I realize that didn't send the text to my mom, I sent it to Jack.

"Crap!" I exclaim. OMG! Sorry Jack! That was meant for my mom! I quickly send a follow-up message. I brace myself for his reply. Hey babe. I'm at the store right now. I already bought some and I'm at Redbox picking up a movie. What do you want to watch? I'll be over in 10. A smile lights up on my face as I read the text. Jack, you are the absolute best boyfriend ever. I love you so much. Oh, and surprise me with the movie ;) I lock my phone and slide down the wall onto the floor. What did I do in my past life to deserve such a good boyfriend? I start to cry. Gah, dumb hormones! I wipe my eyes with my sleeve and stand up. Sliding an elastic of my wrist, I put my hair into a messy bun. A minute later, the doorbell rings. I run to the door and pull it open. Jack is on my doorstep, carrying a full bag from Safeway. He smiles. I return it and kiss him on the mouth. I hear a gasp from behind and turn around to see Cameron, wide eyed. I look at Jack, who is suppressing a laugh.

"Cam, this is Jack, my boyfriend" I smile. Cameron walks forward and shakes Jack's hand. He reaches up on his tiptoes to whisper something in his ear.

"Don't you worry, I will" Jack replies, smiling. Cameron nods and runs out of the room. I turn to Jack.

"Thank you, Jack. I love you so much" I say sweetly. He shrugs and smiles.
