Butterfly

The lilting wind, a flutter of her wings
Blithely, she lands upon a Scarlet Rose
The fragrance is enchanting, tempting
enough to stay forever, but, as she recalls
the joy of flight, the Freedom, she spreads
her wings and soars off high, high, high into
the wide blue yonder above
