Everyone has a safe place, a place other then home which to them is their 'heaven'. She had one different to most people which was one of the many things that made her so special. She saw the world differently and saw everything's true beauty but couldn't see her own which was so rare and unique. She rode her bike to it every single day, while she pedals she felt all her pain and sadness from that day fade away, it was almost like she would pedal away from all her feelings.
There are not a lot of trees in her small town, it took her a hour or so just to get to the willow tree, no one there really paid much attention to nature and what lyes beyond their screens that's why she was so special she could see beyond technology. The willow tree was a giant compared to her although she was one of the shortest in her class. She thought it was most beautiful and breathtaking in autumn when all it's leaves turned different shades of yellow and orange. Even in winter she thought it was wonderful, it always shedded the colourful leaves and then sat there looking lifeless until spring came but still she found it beautiful. There was something about that tree she found comforting. She would sit there for hours either reading, writing poems or just doing homework. That tree was what kept here alive, strong and helped her survive.
Her life was harder then most people in her town she had lost a lot in her life. Her mother passed away in a car crash and her farther walked out on them when she was just a infant. She lived with her auntie and uncle, her auntie always traveled for work and was rarely home. She was very caring, lovely and welcoming woman. She treated her like she was her own child. Her uncle on the other hand didn't want her, he never was a 'father figure' to her. He cared more about smokes and alcohol, I'm honestly shocked he's on her mothers side not her fathers. Instead she looked after her self and did everything on her own.
School was even harder for her, that's where I first met her. I saw her on our first day of secondary school. She was standing right across from me, trying to avoid eye contact with anyone. I don't understand her eyes were like oceans and bluer than the sky, they were so breathtaking why would she want to hide them. Her hair was more golden then the sun. Her skin was paler then the moon. Her freckles shaped her face perfectly. Her smile lit up the whole room and was flawless but she rarely smiled. Her heart was so full of life even though she was so unloved. Who couldn't love her, why was she so unloved. I knew from they day that I saw her beautiful face that she was special.
