A Vacation Without Him

"WHEN WILL YOU comeback, Wels?"

"Four days lang kami dun, ate. Si Mama kasi gustong pumunta ng Japan. Hindi ko maisasama si Sammy since JD's parents are in our house. And he doesn't have passport yet."

Tumango ito. "Okay. Tapos naman tayo sa mga schedules natin, wala ka nga lang sa birthday ng bunso natin."

"Yeah, nagpaalam na ako sa kanya. Tatawag na lang ako sa kanya," sagot niya bago isinara ang bag.

Ngumiti ang nakakatandang kaibigan sa kanya. "Alright. Magpahinga ka na, good night."

"Good night."

She sigh when Ate Ivine left before looking at her luggage. She's all set for tomorrow and no one might not know that she's going out of the country. One reason why she thinks her parents wants to be with her and Sammy because they want to spend some time with her and her son.

May katagalan din kasi na hindi nila nakita ang anak niya dahil noong isang taon pa lang si Sammy nakita ng mga ito ang bata. Now that Sammy's five, they just really want to meet him again but up to no good.

Her phone ring after Sandy came in talking over the phone with JM. Sinagot niya iyon nang makita ang pangalan sa screen.

"Hi hon-"

"Mommy!" masiglang bati ng anak sa kanya.

Napangiti siya. "Oh, its my handsome boy. Hi sweetheart, how are you?"

"I love you, mommy! Mommy!"

Natawa siya nang magaan. "I love you too, handsome. What are you doing?"

"I'm in my room, mommy. Daddy is here, daddy said we'll call you, he said he miss you, mommy."

Narinig niyang tumawa si JD sa background kaya natawa na rin siya.

"Akala ko ba you won't tell mommy that? Now you're telling me who's side are you on really," wika ng asawa sa anak nila.

"Of course he knows. Pakners kaya kami niyan," biro niya sa asawa.

"I want to send you off to the airport. Kaso kasi may schedule naman ako."

Welcy smile. "'Wag na, hon. Alam mo naman malapit na ang comeback niyo. Its okay, Manager Via will accompany me. Hihintayin naman ako nina Mama since mauuna silang dumating sa airport."

"Yeah, that sound good. I wish I can be with you too, I miss you so much."

Muli siyang ngumiti sa sinabi nito. Ever since she knew JD, he changed a lot over the past years. He can now express his feelings unlike before that he is acting cold. Kahit na gumaling na siya at bumalik na ang halos kalahati ng memory niya ay hindi na ito nag bago pa.

"I miss you too. I'll be cheering on your comeback, do good and good luck."

"I love you more, Mr. Im. Magpahinga ka na, kiss Sammy for me."

"I will. Call me when you arrive to Japan tomorrow."

She smile. "Yeah, I will. Good night."

"Good night."

Napangiti siya nang matapos ang tawag. Nilingon niya si Sandy na nakikipag-usap pa rin kay JM. Sumenyas siya dito na matutulog na siya na tinanguan naman ng kaibigan.

"DADDY ARE WE not going to see Mommy? Hatid natin po siya sa airport."

Napalingon si JD sa anak nang sabihin nito iyon. "Hindi, anak. I have a full schedule and Mommy said we don't need to because a lot of people are there at the airport."

"There's always plenty of people there, Daddy."

JD laugh at his son's reply. Binuhat niya ito at saka pinaupo sa counter. "I know."

"If we can't accompany Mommy there, shall we call her, Daddy?"

"Hmm, that's a great idea."

"Yehey! Let's use your phone, Daddy."

JD smile. "Alright, here you go."

Idinial niya ang number ni Welcy at saka pinindot ang speaker bago ibinigay sa anak. Naka apat na ring iyon bago nito sinagot ang tawag.

"Hello?"

"Mommy!" masiglang bati ni Sammy.

"Oh hi, sweetheart. You really miss me huh?"

"Opo! Kasi Daddy and I can't be with you at the airport. Are you there na, Mommy?"

"Yes, baby. We're going inside the plane."

"Ohh."

Natawa siya dahil lumaki ang mata nito.

"Hon, ang aga namang gumising niyan," natatawang wika rin ni Welcy sa kanya.

"Oo nga eh. Tulog pa sina Mama nga."

"Aalis ka na ngayon?"

"After lunch pa. I'm preparing breakfast, tapos na akong mag gym," sagot niya.

"Oh, I see. Sammy anak, you should go back to sleep. Its too early pa," wika ng asawa sa anak.

"I'm not sleepy anymore, Mommy. I have no class naman po," Sammy replied.

"Alright, make sure you won't make Lola and Lolo angry later if they'll tell you to sleep early, okay?"

"Opo! Mommy say hi to Lolo and Lola Canada for me when you get there."

Welcy laugh lightly. "Okay, I will."

"Why don't you say good morning to Lolo and Lola Seoul? I'll cook breakfast," he said to Sammy.

"Okay. Bye Mommy, I love you!"

"Bye handsome, Mommy loves you too."

Ibinaba niya ang bata at saka tumakbo naman ito palabas ng kusina.

"Magluto ka na, I'll call you when I'm there."

"Okay. I love you, Mrs. Im."

Welcy laugh gently. "I love you too, Mr. Im."

"Hindi pa ba kayo tapos diyan?"

Kapwa sila natawa nang sabihin iyon ng manager ng asawa.

"Ikaw naman, Ate Via. Hon, sige na, naririndi na sa atin si Ate Via. Ingat ka, bye."

He laugh. "Bye."

Napailing na lang siya nang matapos ang tawag. He started off what he will have to do as his busy day is starting off.

RED VIOLET'S WELCY is having some quality time with her parents in Japan. A fan saw Welcy strolling along the street with her mother and father. The reason was still unknown but it is so obvious that they are having a catching up thing together.

It is said that after Welcy's schedule with Red Violet, she flew there with one manager only as other members are having personal agendas (Ivine maybe busy with her family, Sandy and JM are recently trending when someone said they're both planning their wedding, Jane is busy filming her newest drama with actor Daevin Do and Yassy is laying low as well after her graduation in college as her boyfie NCU's Andreas is busy preparing for a new comeback in a row this year).

When a fan saw Welcy on the street, her mother said to her to shake the fan's hand and she did. When she was told to hug the fan, she did it as well without hesitation.
