The warm air in the Mesopotamian city was enough to fry you to a crisp. It was as thick as a wall and kinda tasted like 1. No birds would dare take flight . The people who had seen deaths know the deal.
A gentle wind was blowing. The sand flew up in my mouth .I made my camel go faster to catch up with pa .As I got there he came to a halt. I nearly had my camel run off a cliff.
My father grasped my shoulder and started to speak to me "I am going to be at the bottom of the hill wait here for me. I was waiting for a couple of minutes until I heard a scream .My camel just stood there. I pulled out the royal scimitar and went to the edge. I say my dad fighting a group of bandits.
I went to my camel and pulled out the bow and arrows. I cocked 1 back and shot a bandit in the jugular and blood started to poor out. My dad screamed "get out ride to the castle".I considered it for a moment but saw a man about to stab my dad in the back.
I jumped off the drop. My heart froze as I saw death trying to use its cruel grip to rip out my soul. The grip of my hand on my scimitar tightened as I went down. His ribs cracked as my feet dug in him. Blood gushed out as my scimitar cut his skull in half.
5 more were left. The first I took down myself. I charged and aimed at his stomach. My blade was excellently blocked. With a twist of my wrist I disarmed him. My blade stuck expertly between his eyes going into the brain.
Two more charged at me. I did a back flip and pulled out My knives. One bandit saw what I did and ran. Two bodies landed down. A knife in the throat and 1 in the spine. My dad took the other two. Or did they really take him?
His body was sprawled across the ground. I looked at his wound. A punch to the throat by the bandits. I said a quick prayer to God and then got to making his grave.
The grave was deep and wide. I threw his body in. The usual smell of the desert mingled with the smell of rot. I thew up and fell asleep. Later I covered the hole and put up a marking
The sun scorched my back as I rode through the desert. The camel was a very bumpy ride. I found an oasis stopped and watered him. Palm trees provided me a nice comfortable rest.
Just then I saw another person. She was beautiful. I hid seeing her. Her name was Ruth. Ruth was not a girl to play or flirt with. I went up for a gasp of air and saw her stopping her camel next to mine.
I got out and hid behind the closest tree. She went to the water and I saw my chance. I ran as fast as I could to my camel. As I was going on I saw her look at me.
She then ran out of the water chasing me. Lots tried to capture me for ransom. Lots die by a kid .I grabbed a handful of sand and threw it in her eyes. I then got my bow ready and shot her twice in the left leg paralyzing it.
I rode fast through the desert. My camel fell down at the outskirts of town. I saw the magnificent wonders of the street. Father never let me go so I would sneak out to this place.
Finally I arrived at the castle. My mother looked pale. She had already gotten the news of my dad dying. She looked at me but couldn't speak.
Later I was crowned king. I went to my bed chamber and looked out the window. The night sky was dark and calm. The stars glistened in the night sky and the cool winds blew softly on my face. I shut the window then went to sleep.
