As I took in my surroundings, I realized I was safe and sound in my room with Pax's arms wrapped around my waist. I closed my eyes tightly, squeezing the last few tears out as I tried to get a handle on my overly rapid breathing.
Pax took my head in his hands and pulled me back to look him in the eye.
"Ro?" he questioned softly. "Are you ok?"
I took another deep breath and attempted to pull myself into a sitting position. Pax pulled me by the waist until I shifted comfortably in his lap as he wrapped his arms around me, as if to shield me from my nightmares.
I stared up into his handsome face, the glow of his green orbs always seemed to take my breath away. I couldn't believe we'd only known each other for six months. I felt so close to him and he had helped me get through so much, it was as if he'd always been in my life. He was always so understanding and so gentle. I'm not really sure how to clasify our relationship; I only know that I would be lost without him.
I realized he was still staring at me waiting for a reply, so I cleared my throat and nodded, "You know Pax, the usual bullshit." I replied with a humorless chuckle.
He smiled sadly and pulled me to his chest for another hug.
His voice was muffled as he spoke into my hair; "I heard you screaming. It's kinda hard not to hear the screaming when my aparment is directly below yours. Are you going to be ok, or should I stay?" He asked with a bit of hesitiation.
He was so understanding, sometimes he just made me want to cry. Ever since my mother's murder I'd never been the same, as in I couldn't stand physical contact from anyone. The only person I could stand touching me was Pax... and that was only on good days.
"Stay with me please?" I asked him trying not to sound too pathetic.
Pax nodded, after standing to close the window, where I assume he came in through the fire escape; he picked me up and gently layed me on my bed. He climbed in right behind me, hugging me to his chest. I stayed awake for a while, just listening to his gentle snores and feeling his breath blow against my neck. The first night he stayed with me, he had to sleep on the floor because I couldn't stand the physical contact, however, after having another flashback in the middle of the night, Pax climbed into my bed and was able to calm me down by holding me and whispering in my ear that I was okay. He'd been staying with me pretty much every night ever since.
I gently rolled over in his arms so that we were face to face, resting my forehead against his, I closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment, praying the nightmares would stay away.

A/N:
Sorry if this chapter is a little boring. I was just trying to give a glimpse of their current relationship.
