Jason POV
So, again we've found three pack members dead, killed by our own kind. Honestly I really don't think its Luke and his pack because he knows how much all of this means for Nicole and I don't think he would try to hurt us. Eric on the other hand is sure its them and wants to take them out but he can't and won't as long as I'm still 1st Alpha. Anyways, Nicole taking it really hard and is worried to send our kids out, not even to school.
"Jason?" she says pulling me out of my sleep. I open my eyes and see her sitting up.
"Whats wrong? Can't sleep?" I ask sitting up as well. She shakes her head and sighs. I rub circles on her back making her relax abit. "There's no reason to worry, I'm here and so is Eric." I say. She nods and lays back down, resting her head on my chest. "And as long as we're here, nothing bad will happen." I listen to her soft breathing as she slowly falls asleep.
The Next Morning
The feeling of warmth on the side of my face wakes me up. I open my eyes to see sunlight shining in the open window. I look down and see Nicole still sleeping on my chest but Eric is gone. Might be up making breakfast. I run my hands slowly through her long soft hair, hoping she'll stay asleep but I was wrong. Her eyes flutter open and she yawns, baring her white canines.
"Hi, sleep well?" I ask. She closes her eyes again and nods. "Good, you need good sleep."
"Thanks, I gotta take a shower." she says sitting up and swinging her legs out of bed. "You gonna join me?"
"Yeah, why not." I say following her. We take a long shower and head downstairs to see Ryan and Alex sitting on the couch.
"Hey mom, hi dad." they both say. I smile and sit down as Nicole go to the kitchen.
"Do you know where uncle Eric is?" I ask. They shrug and shake they're heads. I grab my phone from the coffee table and get ready to call him but rapid knocking on the front door stops me. I stand up and go to open it to have a bloody, beaten Luke fall to my feet.
"Nicole!" I call helping him up again. She rushes around the corner and gasps, helping me as well and we carry him to the living room. We lay him on the couch.
"Ryan, gets some fresh water and a rag!" I say. He nods and runs to the kitchen as Alex helps us. When he's back Nicole cleans the blood from his face.
"Luke, who did this?" she asks after the last blood is washed away. He looks up and frowns.
"Eric." he says quietly.
