We're finally leaving Hage to take the Magic Knights exams! I'm so exited and nervous but I won't tell anyone that.

I still can't believe Asta got a grimore though. I mean, Asta? Seriously? That ex-magic knight said he had no magic at all, so...

Well, anyway, Asta's making even the journey a contest. He just won't quit. We're both really serious about becoming the Wizard King, and, honestly, if Asta gets in to the Magic Knights, I'm not sure which one of us will.

Now that I think about it, it's kinda cute when Asta said we're rivals. Not going to tell him that though, obviously. I feel bad sometimes that I have a four-leaf grimore and he has no powers at all, but he doesn't seem to care that much.

I'm wishing now I trained like Asta did as well as with my magic, because he looks like he could run forever, but I can barely breathe right now.

Oh, good. I think Asta wants to rest now. Don't know how I'm going to get to sleep out here though. There are loads of roots sticking out of the ground, not to mention there could be any number of dangerous animals hidden in the forest.
