Chapter 24

Tap, tap, tap went the sneakers on the newly cleaned hospital floor, heading towards the stairs of the adults ward. The sneakers brought the wearer into the men's ward, turning corners and softly stopping at a doorway.

Knock, Knock.

"Come in." replied a gravely voiced man,

"Hey, how are you doing, Liebling?" asked a feminine voice,

"O-oh, hey Mon." Marius blushed and attempted to push himself up, ending in him sighing heavily and chuckling slightly. Monika pulled a chair beside her boyfriend and smiled at him, putting a reassuring hand on his. He smiled back at her, "I wasn't expecting you to come so early today, sorry..."

"No, it's ok. Don't apologise. I should have warned you." Monika giggled and looked into Marius' eyes. "I love you, Marius. It was so brave of you that day to do something like that. It shouldn't have ended like this but I'm so proud of you." she smiled warmly at him, her eyes gleaming and shimmering.

"Thank you Monika... really..." Marius smiled back at her. "I love you too, I've been told that I'll get to leave after tomorrow, so that's good... I don't care about what people will say, they all know my situation and they know not to say anything. However I worry for Dominic, he doesn't seem well and I want to get out as quickly as possible to be able to help him. He seems as if he needs my help..."

"How can you tell?" Monika asked, raising an eyebrow.

"He came in a few nights ago, all scruffy and tired, he said something about almost putting Glaz into hospital the same day... I can't remember all of it, what was that all about?" Marius scratched his head looking out the window that was situated to the left of his hospital bed. Monika sighed heavily, looking at Marius.

"It was uh... Caveira, she was cheating on Dominic with Glaz and he didn't find out until a week after they were going out... Everyone who was on campus knew; only you, Dom, Eli and Vicente didn't know about them going out once Dominic had lashed out- Speaking of Elias and Vicente, they've come back, Elias is recovering quickly and he'll be visiting you later today." Monika smiled, tilting her head slightly, seeing Marius' face change slightly after hearing that Elias would be seeing him. "If you don't want to see him I can tell him to wait until you are out-"

"No, I want to see him. I'm just expecting the worst from both of us as we have both... suffered." Marius looked down at his hands, gently placed on top of Monika's. She looked at him and smiled warmly.

"Marius..." Monika whispered

"What's up, Mon?" Marius asked, raising an eyebrow

"I really want you back quickly... I miss you so badly..." Monika suddenly seemed saddened, biting her lip.

"I know, and I want to get back as quickly as possible but you know I have to stay until Thursday..." Marius gently squeezed his girlfriends hand, furrowing his brows. "I promise you that once I'm cleared, I'll spend as much time as possible with you..." This made Monika smile, her perfect brows raising. She pushed herself forward and hugged him, he winced but it was worth it for the hug, the hug that he's missed for so long. "I love you, Mon."

"I love you too..."

"Dom, come with me to the hospital. Get some fresh air... see Marius..."

"Oh, yeah sure."

Blitz had been back in England for three days now, being only able to go back to training two days afterwards. He had gotten to know the 8 new operators from Spain, China, Poland and South Korea. He had become good friends with Jackal and Dokkaebi after only talking to them for a few hours and sparring with Jackal (of course, he had to go slowly for the first two or three times to get used to everything as he hadn't trained since before the incident).
