P.O.V Lilian

I never thought Elaina was going to get Nicole's attention. That was pretty impressive. It was time to see how much I could mess with the both of them. Elaina was such a naïve and honest person. Just messing with her by herself wasn't going to be enjoyable. Since Nicole was in the game too, this was going to be more entertaining than I thought.

I got up in the morning, and walked across my small room over to the drawer in the glass desk. Pulling open the drawer, I saw all of the suicide notes Adrienne wrote to everyone. A smirk stretched across my face as I read the one she wrote to me.

"Lilian,

I don't know what to say. You are a good friend. I could tell all of my secrets to you, and no matter what they were, you'd listen. I guess there's not enough room to write all that I have to say, but hopefully you understand how valuable our friendship was. In time you will, trust me."

The last two lines made me burst into laughter every time I read it. Yeah, I saw how valuable our friendship was. It wasn't all that important to me. I took pleasure in knowing all of the secrets of the dear, sweet Adrienne.

I took a second to remember that glamorous night. My head leaned back, and I gracefully closed my eyes.

It was in the middle of the night. Adrienne's parents were gone for the weekend and weren't going to be back until Monday morning.

My crew and I were all scattered over Adrienne's room covered in black clothing from head to toe. Her room was small like mine. It only fit a bed and a desk. Her wooden desk had a black lamp on it. Before my group went on with their plan, she told us she would like to say goodbye to her 'dear friends and family' first.

"You better not write anything that'll give any of us away. Do you hear me?!" I screamed in Adrienne's ear while she was quickly scribbling down her good bye letters. My sudden yelling made her jump and she slid her pen across the paper. I only chuckled at her fear. "Wow, I never thought best friends would be able to scare one another like this!"

"Lilian, please, you don't have to do this-" She tried to communicate with me while she was writing her note. The only reason why she knew it was me was because my black mask was rolled up to the top of my head.

"Oh, but I have to. And don't try to talk me out of this. You're lucky that I'm even letting you write goodbye letters. Now hurry up! We have to get the show on the road."

She heavily sighed and continued to write letters. I saw her go through everyone's letters, except me. "Okay," She said. "I'm done."

"No you're not." I informed her. "You still have one more to write."

"Who?"

I gasped in surprise and put a hand to my chest. "Well Adrienne Salicine, I'm offended. You still have to write to me!"

Her eyes narrowed. "Why do I have to write to you?"

"I don't want to look guilty. Plus we are best friends."

"Were." She corrected me. "I'm honestly not sure who I've been friends with all this time, Lilian."

Then, the seriousness arose in my voice. "Do you not understand the situation you are in right now?"

"I understand clearly." Her head snapped to me. The desk lamp on the tables was shining at her face perfectly, and her visage was somewhat threatening. A smirk stretched across my face as I saw her grave seriousness. "I'm going to die, either way right? So, it doesn't matter if I write a letter to you."

I let out a nasty laugh at her stupidity. "Oh, so you see it that way? Let me put it this way, would you rather have every single one of your bones broken and beaten senseless so that you get amnesia, or just be hung without any other damage?"

"Don't care." She shrugged it off.

"I guess we'll just have to wait until your parents get home." I spoke sounded disappointed and rolling my eyes.

"Why do we have to wait?"

"Because then they can watch you get beaten senseless, and then hung. Think of how much that'll break their sorry hearts. It'll be like watching a thrilling movie!" I gave myself goose bumps at the thought of her parents' faces. "One that sends chills down my spine... And your mouth dropping at the sight of all of the blood being smacked out of you..."

"You're sick." She spat at me. "Fine, I'll write your letter, Lilian." She reached below, opened a drawer on her desk and pulled out a piece of paper. Then that's when she wrote my letter. At the end of it, her voice was hard, like a lion growling at a threat. "Just know Lilian, you will get caught."

"Oh please," I yanked her off of her seat and pushed her into another guy standing in the room. She stumbled into the man's arms. The man took strong hold of her arms, and lifted her up to the rope on the fan.

I pulled down my mask so that it covered all of my face and neck, and then leaned on her desk with my arms crossed. My hand lifted up and waved side to side. "Bye bye, dear, best friend."

Without hesitation, the man let her go. Her fate grabbed ahold of her neck, and after a few seconds, that was the end of Adrienne Salicine.

...

I opened my eyes back into reality. Running up and down my arms were goose bumps. Such a glorious day.

A knock came from my front door, and it snapped me out of my fantastic mood. I shoved my note back into my drawer and put on my famous depressed face. "Come in!" I called out.

My mother came in with bags under her eyes, and her long, light brown hair was all messed up. She must've just gotten out of bed. "Hey sweetie!" Her mouth opened the size of Texas and she let out a powerful yawn. Water began to fill her eyes from the impact of the yawn. "I heard laughing. Are you doing alright?"

Shit.

"Yeah mom. I was just remembering something that happened in class. It was pretty great!" I lied forcing a light smile on my face.

"That's good. I haven't heard you laugh in days. It's great that you're laughing again!"

I forced my cheeks to get red like I was embarrassed. "Uh- thanks mom."

"Well, I'm going to go start cooking breakfast. See you in a bit." She concluded before walking out of my room and into the kitchen.

Man that was too close. Being careless with my laughter like that made me seem out of character. I was surprised she didn't catch my depressed face turn lightly content all of a sudden. Oh well, I guess I can stay around and mess with everyone a little longer.
