Lonna sat on the living room chair nervously wringing her hands together. Suga casually grabbed the paper as he moved to sit on the couch beside her. “What’s wrong, noona?” He asked as he opened the paper to look at it.

“Nothing.” Lonna lied.

Suga let the paper drop as he held his finger out towards her. He motioned for her to come as he clicked his tongue against his top teeth, like one would call a pet. “Come. Come over here.” He said.

Lonna aggravatedly pounded her fist on her knees. “I’m not a dog!” She yelled.

Suga shook the paper to straighten it as he looked at it again. “Really? So boring.” Lonna sat nervously staring at him for a minute as she debated whether to bring up the topic that was on her mind.

Finally finding her courage, she turned towards him. “About Seungwan...what are you going to do?”

Suga dropped the paper again. “About what? I don’t know what you’re asking.” He returned to the paper.

“I saw her confess her love to you.” Lonna confessed.

Suga roughly put the paper down on the table and moved to sit on the arm of Lonna’s chair. “So?”

“What so? That’s my question.” Lonna said a bit angered that he was refusing to answer her.

“You worried?” Suga asked as he leaned his head down towards her.

“No.” Lonna denied.

“Don’t worry. Girl’s ask me out all the time. You’ll get used to it.” He said.

Lonna quickly jumped up from the chair. “You’re so full of it!” She yelled. Feeling embarrassed of her outburst, she turned away from him. “I’m not worried.” She forced herself to say calmly.

“If you feel bad, then go pop some bags.” Suga countered. “Isn’t that the calming technique your middle-aged man taught you?”

Lonna quickly jumped to use this against him. She turned and pointed at him as she laughed. “Oh…” A blush slightly colored Suga’s cheeks as he turned away from her. “You’re the one who is worried, and you tried to say it was me.” Lonna teased.

“Squirt.” Suga said still refusing to look at her.

“You’re the squirt.” Lonna laughed. “Keun-suk’s being mature, and you call him ‘middle-aged.’ How can you do that?”

Suga caught Lonna by surprise as she shoved her down on the chair and leaned over her. Lonna struggled uselessly to get him off her. He pinched her nose between his fingers and used his other hand to tickle her. “So I’m childish. So what? I’m childish. So what?” He repeated as he continued to mess with her.

“I’m back!” Being caught up in the playful mood, neither of them heard Pamela until she announced her presence from the living room door. They quickly jumped apart, as Pamela stared at them with a shocked expression. Suga and Lonna sat awkwardly as they both wondered what she was thinking behind her stunted face. “You guys…”

Lonna audibly gulped as her mother finally spoke and Suga didn’t dare to move as he tried to stop his shaking. A large smile spread Pamela’s lips, causing them both to be confused. Pamela giggled softly as she looked between the two. “To have a boy at home, just feels so different.” Lonna’s mouth dropped in disbelief. “Siblings joking around just seems so fun.”

Suga couldn’t help but laugh at what she said. “Aunt, you’re really first class.” Lonna elbowed him hard in the side for teasing her mother.

Pamela held up the bags of groceries in her hands. “Who’s hungry? I’ll go prepare.” She said as she walked over to the kitchen. Suga finally breathed a breath of relief as he looked over at Lonna, who gave him an angry glare. Pamela put the bags on the counter and then turned back towards the two. “Lonna.” She said in a low voice, like she was angry. Suga and Lonna both returned to their nervous states as Lonna jumped out of the seat as if it was on fire. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Huh?” Suga gulped, as Lonna’s questioned her mother.

Pamela gave Lonna a glare as she put one hand on her hip and pointed a finger towards her. “About Keun-suk. He’s teaching at your school.” Lonna’s eyes quickly looked down at Suga, who’s head was slowly turning towards her. She wanted so badly to stop her mother from talking. “When I bumped into him on the street, I was so surprised. And he participates in your club activity, too?”

Lonna started to shake with fear as she watched Suga’s jaw clench and the vein in his neck start to show. Oh mom… Lonna begged nervously in her head. Please don’t mention Keun-suk’s name in front of Suga, okay?Suga’s eyes were full of anger as they finally met hers.

Her mother was too busy in the kitchen to see her daughter’s pleading look. “For your birthday, I invited him over.” She said as she started cutting vegetables.

Lonna quickly ran up to the counter in front of her mouth and slammed her hands down against the glass surface. “Mom! Why’d you decide that on your own?!” Pamela was surprised by her daughter’s reaction.

“I thought you’d be happy about it.” Pamela said innocently. Lonna quickly looked back at Suga, who was still staring at her with his anger now turned to rage. She was afraid. Pamela leaned towards her daughter and stared at her now pale face. “Didn’t you say when you grow up, you wanted to be Keun-suk’s bride?”

Lonna quickly turned her attention to her mother. “Impossible.”

“What impossible?” Pamela questioned. “I have proof.” She refused to let her daughter deny the truth so easily.

“Mom!” Lonna screamed as Suga casually leaned on the counter beside her and smiled creepily at the both of them.

“What?!” Pamela asked.

“Auntie, what are we eating tonight?” Suga’s voice was sweet and his gummy smile was bigger than normal, but Lonna swore she could feel the heat coming off of him.

“Tonight, is Spicy Hot Pot. I bought the broth.” Pamela said joyfully.

“Good.” Suga slowly started to turn his gaze on Lonna, as Pamela walked back towards the stove.

Lonna couldn’t stare at him no longer than a second as she turned her head away. That’s one creepy smile. She thought as her body stiffened with fear. Suga’s frustration got harder to cover with a smile as he refused to stop looking at the side of Lonna’s head.
