Give Me a Chance

Axel makes his way to the park where Emmett said he'd be. Little did Axel know that he is meeting Chance, not Emmett there. Axel walks with his hands in his pockets and whistling softly under his breath. He walks to the spot where Emmett told him to go. His breath hitches when he sees Chance standing there.

"C-Chance..?"

The blonde-haired boy turns to face Axel, a smile on his face. "Axel.."

Axel looks at Chance's outfit. As much as he doesn't want to admit it, Chance looks really good.

"What are you doing here..?" Axel asks, biting his lip.

"I'm here to see you.." Chance says. "I know you don't want to talk to me.. and I understand why.. but if you're going to leave just, listen to this first.."

Axel looks down at his hands, watching Chance put a little recording device in his hands. Chance puts his hands in his pockets, watching Axel. Axel holds the recording device and presses play. The recording that Emmett had recorded of Alissa starts to play. They listen to the whole thing and Axel looks up at Chance.

"Y-You went through all this.. for me?" He asks.

Chance nods, hesitantly grabbing one of Axel's hands. "I would do anything for you, Axel.." he murmurs.

Axel looks down at their hands, then back up at Chances face.

"Axel, will you go on a date with me..?" Chance asks, biting his lip.

Axel nods. "Yes.."

Chance smiles. They walk over to another area in the park, hand in hand. Axel's eyes widen when he sees it. Fairy lights are strung up in the branches of the trees, there are red and blue roses placed all over and in a vase on a picnic table.

"Chance.. this is.. amazing.." Axel says in awe.

Chance looks over at Axel and smiles. "Emmett and Lilly helped me set this up,"

They walk over to the picnic table and sit down across from one another. Chance pulls out a fancy picnic basket, making Axel giggle softly. Chance pulls some sandwiches out of the basket.

"I'm not that good at cooking, so I just made some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.." he says.

Axel giggles, taking one of the sandwiches. "Thank you," he says.
