Felicia walked through the gardens she and Antonio worked so hard on. She set her gaze on some pretty little purple flowers.
"I wonder if Ludwig would like these if I brought some to him...no....I think he likes the color blue better....or maybe I should focus more on the smell or the shape?" She sighed. Ludwig was hard to pick out gifts for. It wasn't that he already had everything, it was just that he never really told anyone what things he did like.
"Maybe I should just ask him when I get home." Antonio put a hand on her shoulder. She jumped at the sudden presence.
"Oh! Antonio, it's just you, I thought it was some creep! I would of almost slapped you if I hadn't seen that smile!" She laughed at her own mistakenness.
"Good morning to you to Felicia, you're here earlier than usual." The gardens weren't their private gardens, they were actually part of the little flower selling business that Toni and Feli and decided to start together. Well, it was mostly Antonio's. Felicia usually only came four times a week to come work, the other days she spent were either used for painting and drawing her own works of art or painting something someone else had asked her to. Felicia did enjoy tending to the flowers though, and that's why she stayed with Antonio and his gardens.
"Yeah, I woke up early and couldn't fall back asleep, so I thought I'd might as come here."
"Hey Felicia, I may or may not have over heard you talking to yourself, but I would recommend these—" he walked me over to the chrysanthemum flower patch that I had been tending to for the past two weeks. "They're pretty, no? I think they would make for a splendid gift! Especially since you've been the one taking care of them. You should get the red and white ones!"
She smiled and nodded. "Hey, since it's a nice day out, why don't you take the day off, I think I'll be able to manage things here today." He told her. The air was warm and the sky's clear, but Felicia couldn't help but wondering if there was another reason.
"Is my brother coming to visit you Antonio?"
"What? How could you tell!?"
"You could call it a lady's intuition!" She giggles and felt the urge to spin in a tiny circle. She later thanked him and payed for the flowers she took and headed off to Ludwig's house. She was happy that she could walk there. The town was so small, but she didn't think it could get any better than that. She loved the fact that she could walk to work and back everyday, as well as the fact that most people knew each other living here.
She made her way up Ludwig's porch and tried the door knob. Locked, like usual. He was smart to lock it every night. Sometimes Felicia forgot to lock her door at night...she made a mental note not to mention that to Luddy. She slipped out her key, given to her by Ludwig, and opened the door herself. Inside she saw Gilbert on the couch with a magazine over his face.
'He must of dozed off here last night...'
She pulled off the magazine, seeing it as one of those dirty playboy magazines that she sometimes heard the men in town talking about."Silly Gilbert. You don't need these. You've got a beautiful Hungarian lady waiting for you to tell her how you feel." She whispered it into his ear, hoping he might think of it when he woke up.
"Eliza...beta...." she heard him mumble. A slight smile appeared on his sleeping face.
She needed something for the flowers, so she went to the kitchen, hoping there might have been a vase in there. When she found one, she filled it partway with water and began trimming the flowers so she could arrange them properly. In the process, she heard multiple clicking and clacking noises coming towards her. Ludwig's three beloved pooches has finically noticed her presence in the house and and come from upstairs to be with her.
