The wind howled against the cold cliffs that jutted into the night sky. The air was cold, and smelled of freshly laid snow as it drifted softly onto the ground. The stars in the sky shone with great brilliance in beauty, they glimmered and danced along the edges of the small window you can see them through on earth.

The snow crunched beneath a pair of pitch black boots, that had been covered up with the snow of the mountains. A figure looked up towards the night sky, a slight smile plaid along their rosy cold face. They swept back their fluffed up hood, letting their bourbon hair fall onto their shoulder. Their eyes faintly reflected the shimmering specks in the sky.

They let their blood red wings stretch out, so happy to be out and free like this once again. The peaceful night shone above all the problems that had slowly been gathering as of late. The lab wasn't the same as it once was, and no hybrid there knew why. It was all just typical Dr. Elena Kasha.

"Fleur," A voice called out from behind the figure, "let's get going before it gets too late, we don't want to miss the arena."

It was typical Jessant, her brother, just as always. "I'm on my way, I'll meet you there!" She called back to him, looking down at his darkened figure.

Fleur turned away too look back at the magnificent sky. With her sniper rifle held in a tight grip by her hand, she swung it around to her back. With a slight grin spreading across her face, she ran towards the edge of the cliff she was standing on. The bearded vulture hybrid leapt through the air, her brilliant wings with shades of red spreading, leaving a shadow on the earth below. Nothing could bother her from up here. She was free.

Her wings sliced the air in two as she glided through the air, looking down at her home. The homing spire gleamed in the starlight as she flew right by it. The mountains casted their shadows onto one another, with her shadow adding to the mix gliding across the rugged terrain.

A crack split the air from the ground. Before she knew it the earth blurred around her, and the air sent her spiraling to the earth. The last glimpse was of the night sky, shining on as it always did.
