Born from the showers,
Nurtured in the mountains high.
Falling from the stars,
Abandoned to the sky.
Chattering and babbling down i flow,
Escaping whether friend or foe.
Upon the thirsty earth i flow,
Quenching it mild and slow.

The sea my dream.
O river! Multitudes of sapphire and jade,
Rushing and brimming along.
An eerie beauty you have made,
Does and daffodils all agog.
I a soul in your soul,
Gliding along a shoal.
