CHAPTER 1
"Let's go Frankie." Troy called out. Frankie groaned. The last thing she wanted to do was go to a wedding. For heaven's sake, she was not in the mood to see people, she didn't want to know and didn't care what was going on in the world.
Frankie had been doing nothing with her life for the last seven months. She lost the will to do anything. Ever since that fatal day at the Hudson's mansion, Frankie could not seem to return to her old self.
Yeah, Troy shot and killed the Hudson boys, and well if Troy didn't do it, then Troy and Raymond would be dead. It was bound to happen. Frankie came to the realisation as time passed that it was for the best. Had they not killed them, Frankie would never be free from Ace.
Ace Hudson, her husband, her now dead husband. Stupidly enough Frankie had fallen in love with her captor. Stupid and dumb move on her part. She now understood how bad it would have been to still be with him.
He was crazy in love with her, obsessed, to the point where it was somewhat becoming fatal. She feared him, she hated him and she loved him. Strange way to be when in a relationship. Ace seemed to grow worse the more time they spent together.
Frankie could see it was better that he was out of her life for good. She no longer feared his return. He would promise her that if she ever left him he would hunt her down and kill her. If he couldn't have her, nobody could. She believed him.
"Frankie!" Raymond this time. Frankie grabbed her bag and hurried downstairs.
"I'm coming. Gees." She huffed. Raymond shook his head at her.
"Can you just behave?"
"Yeah... I'm always behaved." She rolled her eyes at her brother. He took her arm and led her to the limo that was waiting for them. Frankie smiled when she saw how good her brothers looked. All dressed up. It was their friend's wedding. They looked a million dollars.
The night was nice, the wedding was stunning. Frankie hated how sad she felt. She never got a chance to have a wedding. No... Her marriage was forced upon her. Ace Hudson said they were to be wed, and they were wed that day...
She recalled how mean he was to her, how hurtful and unfeeling her was. Frankie did her best to forget him, but the memory of him haunted her. She missed him and was glad he was dead at the same time.
"You okay?" Raymond asked her. They were dancing a slow dance together.
"Yeah..." She smiled and kissed his cheek. She loved her brothers more than anything in the world. They were her world. She only had them now. They never hurt her like Ace did, they never belittled her, they never did anything to upset her.
They loved and protected her, did things for her own good. She could see that now. Being with Ace had clouded her mind and made her look at the world differently. He would constantly make comments about her brothers whoring her out... So what, she flirted harmlessly with some men to get them to do business with her brothers... Nobody got hurt.
Nobody but her... She got hurt...
Frankie shook her head to get the memories out of her mind. "Why do you keep thinking about him?" She was not expecting Raymond to ask her that. Frankie shook her head.
"I'm not." She lied.
"Yeah you are. Frankie... Just be thankful it ended the way it did... He hurt you... They hurt you."
"Troy shot him Ray. He shouldn't have done that."
"Frankie... Troy kept a lot from you. Ace... He promised Troy of what will happen if he didn't get you. He promised him that he would take you away and do horrible things to you... Of which he did. That's the only reason Troy shot him. He liked Ace... They worked well together... But Ace's obsession... It was deadly."
