Dear Diary (not of a mad black woman )
What was a woman known for ? What was her worth? What made her worthy ? Why was it that her curvaceous hips could tell more about her than her nappy hair which could trace back roots from where she's from? Why was it that a women's body was more valued than who she was mentally? Why was she looked at as a sex symbol? What if she had morals? You seeing her lips as something that can pleasure you sexually but what about the powerful and moving words that flow out of them like poetry? What if her mind is beyond what you think it is? Because she's curvaceous you see her as someone that can be brought to the bedroom and not brought to the house to meet your mom? She's devalued. You see her as one of your experiments as if she's some lab rat that should be tested for some new disease these doctors discovered. How could you lie down with her and not mention to your mother about her? Her mind is beyond this world, her work ethic is of a duplicate of her mother and her strength comes from her as well. So why do you look at her such? Hoe. Side piece. One night stand. She's the kind of woman that'll enter your life and put a fingerprint on your heart and will leave and have you figuring out why? You can tell through the tears she cried and the sleepless nights she's often had with the bags under her eyes and the heart that beats a sad song. You think you know her but you don't. Just like how you think you knew all them other chicks. She's not them. She's a different breed. She's one of a kind. She's the type if you let slip, she'll be gone in the wind quickly as a cheetah and as elegantly as a gazelle. You don't get back the same girl twice. She's on a different level in her life and you've got to respect her. Her mother-especially. She spent nine months carrying a Queen and for her to be carried so carelessly is disrespectful. She's a vase that you have to be cautious with. You cannot just carry it nonchalantly and without a care in the world. Once dropped, trying to pick up the pieces will cost you several cuts.
Her soft shay butter like brown skin self was once lost in a world full of people that saw her but didn't see her. She was so desperately in need of recognition for her craft that the more she put her talented work the less she got back. You step in her world and be the eyes that always wanted to notice her work. You need to be cautious with her. You need to not overstep boundaries. You must treasure and value her. One day she could be in labor standing up pushing out YOUR child. That's powerful and that's strength that EVERY woman has. No man can endure or even fathom such pain because they aren't women. It's not to take anything away from men but women are the most powerful females on earth. Yet they are not even valued . Appreciated. Taking care of. So how do you take care of your mother ?#WOMENHISTORYMONTH✊🏾
