Jess's P.O.V

"Mummy!"

"Yes, honey?"

I watch Ladeo smiling up at me from where he's lying on the bed in front of me. He'd grown so big and he's finally started to develop some kind of personality.

"Can you come?"

Turning to the doorway do I spot my daughter. She's still dressed in her pyjamas even though it's the middle of the day and I innerly curse for the fact that I haven't had the time to help her change today.

"Give me a minute. I just have to put some clothes on your brother. Wanna help?"

She nods, happily trotting over to the bed, sitting down on the edge as I go to fetch an outfit from Ladeo's drawer.

"When is he going to be big so that I can play with him?"

I smile, picking Ladeo up as I reach my hand out for Leonelle who's still sat watching me from the bed.

"It'll take some time I'm afraid. He's still tiny remember"

She nods and I stroke her head, lucky to have such an understanding daughter.

"You had something you wanted to show me?"

The sounds from the TV downstairs is a calming distraction as I follow Nelle to her room where she'd been hanging out a lot this morning. She'd started to do a lot of things on her own and I'm innerly thankful for that. It made having a newborn baby a lot easier.

"I made this but I don't know what Laeo's hair looks like"

She holds up a picture that she's made, pointing at the baby that I now know is Ladeo.

"That's really good Nelle, I don't think he needs hair"

I kind of already know she won't accept that answer, she's a small perfectionist and nothing was perfect until she said it was.

"But I want him to, mummy"

Slightly upset does she sit down on the floor, her picture still in her hand.

"Alright, I think he'll have hair like daddy, don't you think that would be nice"

Trying to sort of the situation do I sit down on her small desk chair, handing her a brown pencil from her collection of pencils.

Happy does she draw small curls onto the head of the baby in the picture, focused on making it look exactly as she wants it to look like.

"Look mummy"

She hands me the finished piece and I inspect it closely, praising every little detail.

"I love it Nelle, it's really good"

The picture wasn't anything special at all really but just the fact that she's put down so much time to make it made me feel all emotional. She'd definitely got a lot from Conor, especially creativity vise.

"Want to show it to daddy and then we can put it up on the wall in the kitchen"

She nods, quickly standing up and running out from the room to go and show Conor who's downstairs.

I follow her down the stairs, chuckling at her excitement. I honestly can't wait until we've got two little ones running around the house.

Conor's lying on the sofa as I enter the living room. He's been so tired recently and I would lie if I said I'm not worried about him stressing too much.

"Daddy look!"

Leonelle quite literally jumps on top of him and I can see the pain in his facial expression as he tries to hide it from her, sitting up slightly to get a view of what she wants to show him.
