Lily was working in her lab, reading a book that was filled with formulas and equations. She was biting the end of her pencil.
"So if I carry the three.... UGH!!" She ripped the page and threw it into her trashcan that evaporated trash with no odor. She tossed the book onto her desk and took off her glasses, pinching her nose, sighing. She sat in her chair and leaned back. She picked up a picture and stared at it, smiling. It was her and her three best friends. Birdperson, Squanchy squanch, and Rick.... Rick Sanchez. Many years ago, her and Rick used to be married, but something happen and they couldn't be together anymore. She heard someone knock on her door and she got up, knowing exactly who it is. She's only told one person her secret. She opened her beige door and saw Birdperson standing right there.
She smiled and hugged him.
"BP, this is unexpected." She said as he hugged her back.
"Hello, Lily. May I come in?" He asked politely.
"I keep telling you the answer is always yes." She let him in and shut the door, it locking by itself. "So, what's up? Want a drink? I have vodka."
"No. I am not here for social drinking. Maybe some other time." He replied. She nodded and went to the lab real quick to make sure everything was off. Birdperson followed her. He saw the picture out and he picked it up.
"You're missing Rick again, aren't you?" He asked. She froze slightly and then sighed.
"Yes, I do."
"Then why don't you tell him you are alive?"
"We've already talked about this! I rather him think I'm dead then him being involve in my life."
"He's changed." Lily blinked at this.
"He's changed? Rick Sanchez..... has changed?" She held her forehead. "Am I drunk?" Birdperson sighed at his friend's sarcasm.
"He's with his family. He has been living with them for awhile." He told them. Lily thought about it.
"Was he really as devastated as you say he was?"
"Have I ever lied to you before?" She ran a hand over her face. She didn't know what to think. She doubt he would recognize her since she's changed her hair with a formula she tried. She looked out the window.
"I still love him. Even though he did what he did."
"I told you he was drunk." Lily pointed her gun at Birdperson and he put his hands up.
"I know what I fucking saw and what I fucking heard. I've seen him drunk. He was not drunk."
"I got it. I got it. Just..... give him another chance. I am asking as a friend of yours and his." She kept the gun pointed at him for awhile and sighed heavily, putting it back in the holster.
"You're right." She groaned. He smiled.
"I'll be leaving then. See you when I can." She opened her garage so he could fly out and closed it back. She looked at the picture again and took a breath of encouragement.

After making sure her flask was filled, she grabbed her portal gun and typed in the coordinates Birdperson conveniently put on her desk. She shot it and walked through. She walked into another garage. No one was in there and she looked around. She knew it was Rick's garage. She was always neat and tidy with her workspace while he was always a mess. It was one of the things she loved about him. She loved their differences in their personalities. A portal shot open behind her.
'Speak of the Devil.' She thought to herself. She heard two bodies walk through the portal and an immediate power up of a laser gun.
"Who the fuck are you and what the fuck are you doing in my garage?" Rick said, glaring at the mysterious redhead in front of him. She turned around and he froze. Lily smiled at her ex-husband and smiled.
"Hello, Rick."
