Bear

I walk down to the cafe and walk in. I pick up Bear so no one steps on her and so it's easier to see her, I know the girls like seeing her.

"Aww, hello bear girl!" One of the girls, Stella, says coming around the corner to pet her. Bear likes her a lot. She liked a lot of the girls here, I come here so often with her and Eleanor takes her here on her days off, she works here.

Some of the customers awed at Bear. I looked to see if the girl I had so many thoughts about was still tucked away in the corner. Surprised to still see her there after nearly 20 minutes of me being gone.

I was brought out of my thoughts when there was a tap on my shoulder, I slowly turn wondering who touched me. I have to look down a few inches. Ashton?

"Your dog is so adorable do you mind if I pet her?" She says with a enormous smile on her face.

"No not at all, go ahead." I say with a grin.

"Well hello beautiful what's your name." She asks flipping her tags around to read her name.

"Bear? That's so cute?!" She said as Bear jumped up and licked her face.

"Oh puppy breath." She giggles.

I pull Bear back so she is fully on the ground "Sorry about that she gets really excited easily." I say laughing.

"Oh it's fine my sister has a 6 month old, how old is she." She questioned

"3 months old, so she has lots of energy." I said.

"And really bad breath!" She joked.

"Tell me about it." I laugh with her.

"Hey heres my number, text me some time so I can see her again." she pets Bear handing me a piece of paper.

"Im kidding I'd like to get to know you." she giggles.

"Ok yeah for sure."I babble on nervously.

She leaves and I get my drink and find a booth. I put Bear on the inside of the booth and she laid down and dozed off. I was scrolling through the geo tag for the cafe on Instagram, I was extremely bored. I had seen the username ashton_.roots. Ashton? huh maybe its her, it says she posted 20 minutes ago. It was a picture of a cup it was stained with red lip stick. "Opps!" the caption said.

I went to her page seeing it was her and followed her. I rubbed my ink covered arms and shivered. I guess the t-shirt wasn't doing much for me even with my scorching hot coffee. I drink my last bit and got up to leave realizing Bear was still sleeping. I pick her up and carry her to see Angie so she could say bye to her. She is in love with her.

"You leaving?" I nod "Oh bye baby." she says in a baby tone to Bear as she tiredly looks away. Grant, one of our many friends. Comes up and pats Bear on the head. "See you tomorrow."

"See ya"  I say to him and he goes back to work. "See you later tonight." Angie says. "Yeah just text when you're on your way." I say, talking about game night, walking away.

It's something Angie, Ariana, Eleanor, Nixon, Grant and I do every week. Sometimes other of our friends join. We call it game night but we usually talk about our weeks, how work was going, or maybe some weekly drama. We sometimes go to the movies or actually play board games. I have no idea what we are doing tonight though.

We are last minute planners. We mostly hang out and talk telling stories of our childhoods. I throw away my cup and walk with Bear in my arms.

Walking down the sidewalk with dead weight is kinda hard and I was getting looks, mostly girls drooling over me and the fact that I had a cute puppy in my arms. I know I'm good looking and I take advantage of it sometimes.

After being stopped a few times because of Bear I finally got home and I put Bear on the couch. I go to Eleanor's room and give her a cookie I bought her at one of her favorite bakeries. She thanked me and I went to the living room and sat on the couch next to Bear.

I went back to Ashton's page on Instagram and looked through it. Trying to figure out what kind of person she is and what she likes to do. My phone binged and I got a notification.

'Ashton_.roots sent you a message' 

My heart started to race. I clicked on it...

will be in here too next chapter for game night. I will probably use other youtubers and famous people for characters. Bear is based off my puppy the pictures I use are of her.
