“Why didnt you call me” was the first thing Livvy said to me. I was speechless. “You were suppose to meet me outside the ROX. The security guy was actually going to let us in. Do not tell me changed your mind.”

“Well, at first i thought it was a fun idea…...but now...what if you know we get like caught. What if you and I get arrested, kidnapped, Liv I don't want to go to a club with you. My dad..”

“Your dad is way over protective, and shelters you from so much for christs sake. You didnt even know what pot was before you met me” she said. I know sometimes I hate it and other times I don't.

“Yea my dad says you are a bad influence on me,”

“Well of course I am. But I'm bad in a good way. I teach you things that you really need to know. Life lessons  that you need to know before you get to the world were you dad is not there to guide your hand and make you a warm glass of milk before you go to bed,”

“Hey he doesn't do that anymore I can be, ummm, bad if I really wanted to!” I said. By now I was getting really mad. Yea I know my dad is  over protective but, he only is like that because he loves me. He is rich, and I'm his only daughter. He is going to  make sure that I am the best person that I can be. If that means curfew is at 9:30, no sleepovers at someones house till my dad can do background checks of the parents, he has to approve my friends, and worst of all I can't have a boyfriend till he fills out a 50 question survey, and passes the “ultimate” test, meaning I have never had a boyfriend.

“Oh really, I don't believe you…” I heard a pause at the end of the line. She was waiting me to give in.

“.......Sure tomorrow is the first Friday of the summer I will go with you,” I said with a sigh.

“Yay! Tomorrow is free beer night!” she said with a squeal.

“Whoa, patience grasshopper. I said I will go and dance but I never said that I would drink.”

“Whatever! You are going and thats all that matters” and then she hung up.

”Hey Dad, can I go over to livvy’s house and spend the night tomorrow?”

“Now Vivienne, I told you that I do not like that girl. She seems like a very bad influence on you and I don't want you to hang out wit her anymore.” he said walking into my room.

“Really Dad. Just you think that I am influencing her way more than she is influencing me. We are just going to hang out at her house and watch movies,” I really hope he was believing every word that i was saying, cause I sure as hell didn't. “You dont let me do anything anymore,”

“You are not going anywhere tomorrow you are going to stay here and work on your french. End of Story.” he said closing my door and walking away. Okay Livvy is right, he is way too overprotective and I am freaking sick of it. Starting today, no more little nice girl listening and depending on her father.

“WHY WONT YOU LET ME DO ANYTHING! I HAVE NO FRIENDS BECAUSE OF YOU! YOU ARE SO OVERPROTECTIVE AND I HATE IT…….I HATE YOU!” I flipped a lid. I am done with him always depending on me to be the perfect child. I want to live, I want to be a normal teenager, and most of all I want to be able to breathe without him looking over my shoulder.

“What did you just say to me?” he asked, storming back into my room.

“You heard me,” I said getting off of my bed. “You never let me do anything, you never let me have any fun, you never let me have any friends or boyfriends, my curfew for crying out loud is 9:30. I am so upset with you, dad i am so filled up to the top with you. Why cant you just let me be a teenager, go to a party!”

“Why are you saying all of this, Vivienne i think you are not in the right mindset, you should get some sleep,” he said walking up to me and trying to rub my shoulder, but i  pulled away.

“No dad right  now, I am in the right mind set. For those other years I don't know what I was thinking. But I’m going to Livvy’s house whether you like it or not and I will be back sometime saturday” I grabbed my backpack out from under my bed and  started shoving random clothes into it. I grabbed my phone, phone charger, my purse, and my jacket. As I was heading down the stairs, my dad was right behind me.

“You cant do this!” He yelled. Right before I opened the door I tunned and looked at him.

“Watch me!” I opened the door and ran out. It was a cool, windy night; the swaying of trees and rustling of leaves could be heard but not seen, as the encompassing darkness had blotted out all but the faintest light.  I looked at my phone and it was 9:30 excatly. I unlocked it and called Liv.

“Hey do you think you  could come and pick me up at my house, I kinda kicked my self out and have no place to sleep…..” I said waiting for her to reply.

“Little birdy finally kicked herself out. Yes of course I will come pick you up. I will be there in a second” She said hanging up. So I sat there at the end of the driveway, knowing not to look back because my dad was was looking out the window at me.
