when i woke up i was in a dark room, and i could hear gladers snoring. i slowly got up, looking for chuck. until i realized he wasn't there. great.
now i have no friends, no one in the glade really likes me except for clove and bailey. minho calls me moody and thomas tells me to shut up most of the time even though i have better ideas than him. i hate him.
so i've been here for a couple hours according to clove, and i've met this guy named janson. he's kinda nice but there's something suspicious about him, the gladers agree so too.
we were eating while thomas was talking to other people who got sorted into mazes, surprisingly. i saw a boy out of the corner of my eye walk up to me.
"hey, im axle. what's your name, beautiful?"
was...was he trying to hit on me?
"w-winter." i stuttered out. "hey, sit down next to us!" newt said.
"oh, i'd love to." he said, winking at me.
as he sat down, he put his hand on my thigh. it made me uncomfortable, so i scooted over by clove. he kept his hand on my thigh and slowly brought it upwards. "stop it." i whispered through clenched teeth. his hand just went up further. "c-clove." i said hopelessly. "yes honey?" she said staring at newt, not breaking her gaze. "tell her and i'll go further." axle whispered in my ear.
"hey, dude, what the fuck are you doing?" bailey yelled at him. "calm your tits, gay-boy. i wasn't doing anything." he said calmly, removing his hand from my thigh. "uh, yeah, you were, dumbass." the black-haired boy yelled. "bailey it's f-fine." i said, chocking back tears. "no it's not winter. this bitch was touching you." bailey was mad, and when he's mad, he's MAD. "i said it's fine, bailey." i was on the verge of crying. "i told you." said axle, smirking at bailey. "yeah right, winter." bailey just got up and went back to his room in the institute.
"c'mon, winter." axle said. "let's get away from these freaks."
as much as i wanted to stay-
"of course, axle."
