10:10 PM. Decemeber 13, 2015. "Hi Kath!"─these were the two words that came out from my mouth. The words and things I planned to say and do did not go on my way. I was in the heat of the moment that I forgot what I had rehearsed. I was stunned and mesmerized by her captivating beauty. Who would have thought that I could smell her strawberry scent and touch her unwrinkled skin? Out of the blue it crossed in my mind.
3:30 PM. Today was Saturday, a typical one. I was lying in bed with laptop on top of my lap. I was alone in this not-so-spacious room but fortunately this room has whatever I need and somehow I don't feel any loneliness here. My parents were at work. And my brother was outside. Mr. Sun was bright and sunny, as usual. He hugged me with his blistering heat so I was longing for some wintry feeling. Therefore, I thank Schuyler Skaats Wheeler who invented the fan but the air that came from it blew my hair, thus it peeved me. Without second thoughts, I grabbed my black ponytail and tied up my messy hair. I was just scrolling my Twitter timeline when suddenly a picture caught my attention. My heart skipped a beat and I couldn't help not to smile. The surroundings were in a slow motion. People disappeared one by one and only two of us left. As if I was Patchot in the movie Must be Love who found her soul mate for the first time. The angel whom just inches away from me was kept on talking and smiling. Her contagious smile made my heart melts like a sweet strawberry ice cream. And her voice brought serenity to my ears. There were sparkling stars that surrounds her body. As if there were wings at her back and a halo above her. Her hair was in messy bun (but I guessed I was the one who's in mess.) and she wasn't wearing any makeup but she's damn stunning. She's beautiful like an angel but wasn't in disguise. I was barely breathing, unable to move but I managed to move. Of course, with the help of my friends that vaguely pushed me. My hands were trembling and I'm kind of sweating, a bit awful. My heart beat races so fast that I couldn't adjoin it. I immediately positioned myself beside her during the photo op. "This is my chance!" And I intentionally pressed my arms against hers, even if I shouldn't. For me, she's like a diamond glass that should not be touch nor break. She looks so expensive, so divine. I was smiling but I wasn't sure if it was my perfect smile. But surely, I was beyond happy.
6:30 PM. My parents were here, so does my brother. We ate dinner together. I did the after-dinner chores. Then, I went back to my hobby. I could feel the coldness beneath my pajamas and socks. I was just browsing an old photo album. Then, a photo clutched my attention. The photo was taken outside the hotel. It was a cold and misty evening. Two rooms have lights on; it was so luminous since it was taken at night. I was sitting in a concrete near the parking lot gate together with my three other friends. We were waiting for a miracle, a miracle that could turn our dreams into reality. All of a sudden, a chubby man went out of the car, a white van to be exact. He was asking for a lighter. Apparently, my friend has. And take note of that, that the chubby man was the bodyguard of the angel. We waited there for almost three hours and we could feel the forever madness, but it was worth it.
8:30 pm. I normally devote my Saturday evening watching Korean dramas and today wasn't excluded. I planned to binge-watch my pending dramas. I checked my Instagram first before I attach myself to a marathon. A video snatched my entire eyes. There were gargantuan speakers and gleam lights that made the whole crowd frenzied. I was part of the vigorous and enthusiastic crowd. Everyone was screaming, jumping, and savouring the rhythm of loud screams that only we can fathom. Wherever you look at, you could see different groups of people who were holding banners and posters. The mall was indeed jam-packed. The crowd gets delirious every minute passed. Cameras were flashing and we were kept on cheering for the angel at the fascinating stage. She was lively singing and I sang with her regardless of my irksome voice. It was like a concert, actually. I was in the left stage of the auditorium, standing in an Uratex monoblock chair. I was holding a camera which supposedly to take videos but I was so chaotic. So, all the videos I took were not in a proper disposition. We were all dancing, singing, jumping, and screaming. Some were snivelling, it includes me though. "Oh My God!" were kept on coming out from my mouth. My tears stocked in my eyes so my vision became blurry. The gleaming lights and deafening music played with us. It was better than a night club's party. Ear-splitting squeals and an angel at the stage made me at eased. If Disneyland is others happy place, mall shows are my happy place. Despite the fact, that I am an introvert who opts to be at home.
10:00 PM. I've lost my appetite in watching dramas so I closed my laptop. I lay in bed comfortably, covered my body with a silky blanket. I let out a deep sigh and wishing that my "Hi Kath!" would receive a "Hello, Ina!'.
