"Any sugar?" Jace had volunteered to make the newly married Jocelyn a cup of coffee in the morning, though it was mostly Clary's idea. Her mother seemed to still need a bit of persuading about her new boyfriend.

"No, thank you, Jace" Jocelyn replied with a beaming smile which then led to a smile appearing on Clary's face too. With this, Jace stirred the coffee briskly before dropping the spoon in the sink with a sharp clang. As he handed the blue, floral mug to Clary's mum, he sat down to join the others at the hard oak kitchen table.

Magnus and Alec were sat at one end in deep conversation, laughing every so often and taking sips from their own mugs. Clary, who had been talking to her new step-father, Luke, about the beautiful farm house, was now watching intently from the rim of her coffee as Jace placed himself next to Jocelyn.

"Has anyone seen Simon or Isabelle?" Jocelyn inquired after taking a sip of her slightly too hot coffee. Jace looked up around, curious himself. But, everyone shook their head, even Alec and Magnus of whom Jace was surprised had heard Jocelyn's question at all through their intense morning conversation and general 'snuggling'. But, Jace was happy for his parabatai, happy that he had found love and was enjoying it so evidently. Though, he would never voice this.

"They're probably still asleep" he said casually "I'll go wake them up for breakfast." Clary watched as Jace walked out of the wooden framed door and disappear down the hallway. She couldn't help feel it was strange; Isabelle was such an early riser

Simon was suddenly aware of sunlight pouring in through the window behind him - the same one that had let in the dim moonlight the night before. This, more amber light, however was casting sunrise shades on the back of his eyelids. He didn't want to open them, he'd rather stay, absorbing the warmth of the sun - and of Isabelle. Isabelle, who he suddenly recalled was still nestled into his chest, breathing evenly.

Isabelle was also not completely asleep anymore either. She had had a far from dreamless sleep and was simply enjoying resting her eyes in the security of the boy she knew she lo- cared for a lot. As she found herself replacing 'the word' in her thoughts, she wondered why. Is it such a bad thing?

Of course it is! She thought, suddenly opening her eyes as if it would stop these dangerous thoughts invading her mind. He doesn't even love you anymore, how could he? How could he even try to-

"Isabelle!" Somewhat shocked from the sudden outburst, she sat up hastily to see Jace, a look of horror on his face, staring at her from the threshold.

"You didn't!" He said, staring directly at her, eyes wide. By this time, Simon had sat up, hearing the raised voice and the shuffle of Isabelle raising herself as quick as a shot.

"Please tell me you didn't take advantage of him when he's in  this state!"

"Of course I didn't! And what are you doing here!" She shouted back, Simon just looked dumbfounded and kept his mouth closed.

"I came to wake you up, we're serving breakfast. Only, when i get to your room- you're not there. So, I walk past here, door wide open, may I add, and see why the two of you aren't up yet. I thought you were early risers."

Simon opened his mouth and spoke in explanation "I was having a dream" He said at exactly the same time Isabelle said it.

Jace looked at them alternately and Isabelle and Simon shared a look also. "Okaaaay...well, while you two were simultaneously dreaming, we've been having a highly civilised friendly breakfast wondering where by the angel you were."

"Okay, we're just coming." Isabelle made a shooing motion with her hand at him as she spoke.

Ten minutes later, everyone was assembled at the kitchen table - Jocelyn, Luke, Simon, Isabelle, Alec, Magnus, Clary and Jace. Somehow, the topic of conversation had gone of at a bit of a slant.
