I breathe in,
Staring at the room I smiled.
You were laying in bed,
Staring at the window.
I was standing near the window,
Staring at you
I never knew how someone could be so beautiful.
The way the sunlight hit the window, to you
Illuminating iridescence glow.
Such euphoria surged through me.
I laid next to you,
My thoughts clouded by the scent of vanilla
and lavender
I held you close to me.
I never want to let go
I held your face and leaning in, wanting to kiss you.
But then your face starts to dissipate
I clawed the air wanting to keep you in my arms.
Pieces of you,
Being one with suspended dust.
Honey to pale yellow,
The room melted.
Vanilla and lavender,
to scent of untouched cloth
Cold replace the warmth between my arms.
I blinked my eyes.
You're gone.
