"A MISIDENTIFIED WAKANDAN ARTIFACT WAS STOLEN YESTERDAY FROM A BRITISH MUSEUM," OKOYE SAID TO T'CHALLA, W'KABI, DIANA, AND THE OTHER WAKANDAN TRIBE LEADERS AS THEY GATHERED IN THE THRONE ROOM. "We have learned Ulysses Klaue plans to sell the vibranium to an American buyer in South Korea tomorrow night."
Diana stood by Okoye, her arms crossed as she stared out at the people around her. She'd heard about this Ulysses Klaue and his many crimes, but she never thought his outreach went as far as Wakanda. And after hearing exactly what he had done and what he was capable of, she was more than positive that Eris had something to do with it. The goddess of chaos and discord had to have been behind this; there was no other explanation.
"Klaue has escaped our pursuits for almost 30 years," T'Challa said. "Not capturing him is, perhaps, my father's greatest regret." Looking at the elders around him, he went on, "I wish to bring Klaue back here to stand trial."
"Wakanda does not need a warrior right now," one of the elders said. "We need a king."
"My parents were killed when he attacked." W'Kabi spoke up, his voice calm yet determined. "Not a day goes by when I do not think about what Klaue took from us... From me."
"It's too great an opportunity to pass," Okoye pointed out.
"What do you think, Ambassador?" T'Challa asked, turning to Diana.
Diana paused for a moment to think. "I never condone violence," she said. "And I never use any sort of excessive force unless absolutely necessary." She looked at the people around her. "Though his crimes are extensive, I do not believe that killing him unjustly is fair. So I agree with King T'Challa. He should be brought here to stand trial."
W'Kabi nodded in agreement and turned to T'Challa. "Take me with you," he said. "We'll take him down together, side by side."
T'Challa shook his head, pointing to his friend. "I need you here protecting the border."
W'Kabi nodded again. "Then I ask... you kill him where he stands... or you bring him back to us."
"You have my word," T'Challa said. "I will bring him back." Standing up, he said to the elders, "We will proceed with the mission."
He left the throne room, with four Dora Milaje warriors behind him, and Diana followed. Once she had caught up to him, she said, "Would it be alright if I were to come with you?"
T'Challa looked at her and smiled. "I was actually going to ask if you would come. I think you could help us greatly in catching Klaue."
Diana nodded. "Thank you."
They descended down a flight of stairs and into a large, high-tech laboratory. T'Challa's little sister, Shuri, was waiting for him, smiling as she bowed in an over-exaggerated manner.
