Time passed and the lovers said their goodbyes to Thranduil and Mirkwood before setting off on the long journey back to Rivendell.
Aragorn hoisted himself onto the back of Brego, fixing his feet into Brego's stirrups and shooting a reassuring smile towards his blonde haired lover. They were both nervous for Arwen and Elrond's reaction, but the two adventurers put brave smiles and confident attitudes on - they wanted to try and evade the thought for as long as possible.
The unanswered question lingered forever in the backs of their minds:
An elf and a human? Could it ever really work?
But the couple pushed the thoughts away. Right now they were happy. Right now was what mattered.
They would battle anything that would come to pass when it came - for they knew their love was endless, no matter what.

Ok so I wrote this a while back - like a year or so? Figured everyone deserved it instead of it sitting in my drafts forever :)
Lil' update - you may know I have been completely inactive for over a year now - sorry everyone! In that time I have read a ton, not written much and have now re-read my old writing and didn't really like it (oops!)
I honestly cannot tell you if I'll update in the future - but if I do it may be on Archive Of Our Own as I've sort of grown away from Wattpad over time. Thank you everyone who enjoyed this story and sorry for the rather abrupt ending - use your imagination as to whether they find a way to be together forever haha
