Today is Serafinas tenth birthday. She usually dreads her birthday from all the attention she receives, but today she seems almost relieved that it's her birthday. She's changed over the past few years. She's confident and has more of a social life now. I think it's because of Dr. Vanheilsing, for she's been visiting him weekly now. Serafina talks to me, yet I can still feel myself slowly fading from her mind.
Today, her new friend Lily is coming for a sleepover so, her parents are fairly happy for her for Serafina has never had friends over before.
A few moments before Lily was too arrive, Serafina pulled me into her room to talk to me. She shoved me in and checked to see if her parents were busy and walked into the room shutting the door behind her. She took a deep breath and said, "I'm sorry to say this Kurt, but I want you to stay in the attic while Lily is here. She doesn't know about you, but she doesn't need to either. You only have to stay until she's gone, ok?" I nodded hesitantly before saying, "That's a great thing to say after someone hasn't talked to me in weeks. Happy Birthday, Serafina." I walked out without even looking at her. This is it I can tell.
I'm fading..........and fast.
