I pace back and forth between the room. The anxiety catching on to me. Was my entire relationship a lie this entire time? As I tell myself these thoughts, I hear the door creak behind me. I don't have the courage to look behind me. My wand, in my sleeve touching my cold skin.
"Honey, are you fine? What are you doing here,"Ginny says with a worried voice as she peeks her head through the door.
I take the courage to look behind me. I turn and see Ginny with an apron on, walking into the room. Albus and James were at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and Lily must be been playing around in her room, so it would be fine to confront Ginny now. I smell the hint of spices off her. "She must be making dinner," I tell myself. I look at her directly in the eye and say,
"G-ginny..." I pause, confused as to what to say next. "Have you been hiding something from me this entire time?"
I see a flicker cross between her eyes. But it's gone as soon as I saw it. She looks at the ground. Cleaning her hands on her apron. Her wand tucked in between one of the pockets. I stick my nails into my arms. I knew there was something off about our relationship but I never knew what it was.
She suddenly speaks and says, "I don't know what your talking about." Her voice comes out, in a sort of rushed voice. I grab the potion behind me. I had found it while trying to find my firebolt, that I had bought not long after I got married Ginny. She had been so angry, she used the silent treatment on me for an entire week. She was pregnant then with James and couldn't have gone months without talking to me.
I hold up the potion to show it to her. She looks taken aback as she gets full sight of what it is. Ginny breaths in once. I see tears shaping in her eyes. She speaks out quietly and says,
"You never would have noticed me if I didn't do it."
I'm taken aback with her admitting it. I let out a shaking laugh,
"S...so, it was all a lie?" I say laughing. The emotions getting the better of me.
"No..no, Please Harry. I di-did it for US. I DID IT FOR US. WE HAVE A FAMILY. THEY'RE REAL! JUST LIKE MY FEELINGS. YOU NEVER WOULD HAVE NOTICED ME, IF I DIDN'T TRY IT," She screams out, crumpling to the ground. Tears rushing out. If Ron were to see this right now. He would kill me.
"Ginevra," I say, the next words coming out in a whisper, "Please get out." I didn't ever call her by her first name before/
"NOOOOOOO!!" She screams. She scrambles up and tries to run towards me.
"WE HAVE A FAMILY. YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE US NOW, BECAUSE OF THAT!"
"Okay then, I'm leaving." I wave up my phoenix feathered wand and mutter,
"Accio suitcase."- The suitcase flying towards me. All my childhood items in there. Ginny stands there. Tears falling down her face. Silence all around her.
"Take care of Lily, I'll come visit her. Don't tell the children what's going on. It'll destroy them way worse than me."
I take a look at the bottle in my hand. On it says,
"Amortentia."
A love potion with Ginny Weasley written on it.
