Drowning

I screamed as I fell under the sea. Water filled my lungs as I panicked, trying to swim to the surface but failing miserably. The water wasn't even that deep, but seeing as I can't swim, it was deep enough. I continued panicking, until black dots appeared in my vision and I fell unconscious.

I woke up on the beach, with Rye leaning over me, looking incredibly concerned. I looked around me.

"Andy?" I croaked.

"He went for a walk" Holly informed me, "You've been out for ages, Kaitlin, if you didn't wake up soon we were going to call an ambulance."

I sat up slowly and with Brooklyn's aid made my way over to my phone. I dialled Andy's number and he picked up after the second ring.

"Kaitlin?!" he breathed.

"Yeah, babe where are you?" I asked.

"I'm in the café up the road, baby" he told me, "Are you okay? I'm coming back"

"I think so" I said, "My throat hurts and I think I bit into my lip when I was... Erm let's just say my lip hurts"

"I'm nearly there" he panted.

"Are you running?" I asked, chuckling.

"Babe, you were out for over half an hour, can you blame me?" he answered.

And then I was pulled into his arms. And he was kissing me. I kissed back as he pulled me closer to him.

"You scared me to death" he frowned, hugging me, "Why didn't you tell me you can't swim?"

I pulled away and looked at my feet, embarrassed. "Because I'm 22 years old and it's embarrassing..."

"Kait..." he mumbled, looking into my eyes, "Everyone has their flaws, it just makes you unique. Anyways I think it's cute."

"Really?" I raised my eyebrows at his comment, "It's cute that I can't swim?"

"Yeah..." he said hesitantly.

I rolled my eyes jokingly and wriggled out of his grip.

"Aquarium time!" I exclaimed, half heartedly.

Rye whooped and grabbed Holly's hand before dragging her along the beach, Harvey put his arm around Loren and they both walked slowly away from us, Brooklyn jumped onto Andy's back and they rushed away and Jack and Mikey were running around like idiots. Which just left Ferne and I, walking casually.

"Are you okay?" she asked me.

"Yeah" I answered, my voice squeaking.

"Your voice went high" she stated, raising an eyebrow and folding her arms, "I know you're lying"

"I'm fine" I lied, "How are you and Brook?"

"Well... He's Brook" she said, laughing slightly, "But we're good. He wrote his name on the back of my phone earlier, and spelt his own name wrong."

We both laughed.

"Only Brooklyn" I laughed, rolling my eyes.

"Yup" she agreed.

"Oi!" our boys shouted to us in unison, "Hurry up!"

"Shush!" I yelled back, "We're having girl talk!"

"Oh no" Ferne facepalmed, "Bad idea"

I looked back at our boyfriends and they were running towards us, Andy now on Brooklyn's back.

"We're girls!" Brooklyn exclaimed when they reached us.

Ferne and I both raised an eyebrow at him and he frowned and turned back around before running off again.

"I wonder why I put up with him" she said to me.

"No you don't" I smirked.

"Nah I don't" she shrugged.

The next thing we knew, Andy and Brooklyn were dragging us along the beach towards the car park. I rolled my eyes.

"So who's in what car?" Rye asked.

Instinctively, all the couples clung onto their partners so Jack and Mikey had to pick a car each. Mine or Rye's. Ferne, Brooklyn and Jack ended up getting in the car with me and Andy, and Loren, Harvey and Mikey went with Rye and Holly. Andy leapt into the passenger seat and Ferne, Brook and Jack sat in the back in that particular order. I connected my phone to the radio and 'Perfect Two' by Auburn started playing. Me and Andy shared a smile and Brook gave Ferne a cheesy grin; she rolled her eyes jokingly but returned it.

"It's at times like this that I feel depressingly single" Jack complained.

"Sorry Jack" I shrugged, grinning, then pulled out if the car park.

Andy's Point Of View

"Oh my gosh!" Kaitlin exclaimed as a clown fish swam past the window, "It's so beautiful!"

"Like someone else I know" I commented with a wink, before putting my arms around her from behind.

"You're so good to me" she mumbled, leaning back on me.

"Because I love you" I whispered in her ear, "You're the apple to my pie"

She giggled at the reference and held me tighter. We moved further into the aquarium and she yelped as a mantaray swam over our heads. I chuckled and put my arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer. The blue of the water reflected against her face, making it light up as she smiled and watched the fish pass. I pulled her along, as everyone else was far in front of us and her eyes never left the fish swimming above us and on either side.

"Hun, come on!" I chuckled at her, "Everyone else is so far ahead and we're their ride to the restaurant!"

"Actually, Andrew!" she looked at me, a smirk painted on her features, "I am their ride, as it is my car, and I am also your ride."

She folded her arms, proudly and I rolled my eyes and picked her up bridal style, rushing after the others. Kaitlin protested the whole way but I just chuckled.

"I'll get you back for this, Fowler"
