I hear him. The malevolent tones slicing through my ears as a sharp knife. I begin to panic, my life, the lives of all I know, threatened. I know my father is strong, but animal he is not. The only method to defeat pure animalistic behavior, is to stoop as low as they. A dull pain forms in my heart, I picture every face I'm sworn to protect, I imagine blood dripping from their bodies. I then think of what he is after, me. I possess not the slightest inclination of why, but I know it to be true. His constant pursuit of my hand has been a dilemma that had become commonplace by now. Once a minor obstacle in day to day life has now become a threat to my entire kingdom.
I hear him again, louder. He's close. I again attempt to access the situation to result in no blood spilt, I draw a blank. I now feel the dull pain turn to fire, I look in a mirror and glance upon my features. A fraud. In a civilization where once primitive creatures now out civilize the once civil, I feel as though I'm lying. The fire is burning me more now. I look deep into my eyes and see the flames begin to rise. The calls grow louder and louder, I'm burning more and more. I feel something deep inside snap, and a new feeling taking over. Another look, I see the same features, only seemingly more....distant. I'm on fire and the howls are getting closer. My mouth goes dry, I feel the yearning for blood the quench my thirst. As I step face the increasingly louder calls, I am eye to eye with it.
