Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: Of all the people Dan would have suspected to be the lead suspect in his murder case, his boyfriend /definitely/ didn't fit the profile. Daniel Howell, a 26 year old police detective was called into work late one day for accounts of multiple homocides in the city. They were all done differently except for one thing, they all had the letters PL carved in their arm. For a while Dan thought it was weird then he realized that they were initials, initials that few people in his small town had. One of those few was his own boyfriend Phil Lester. Dan had met Phil just a few years prior, crying and covered in blood in an alleyway, Dan never really found out why Phil was there as he was quite evasive about it. Dan constantly updated Phil on the details of the murder investigation and today was no different. " No more big leads besides finding the letter again except this one was...weird" he said, wrapping his arms around the other boys shoulders
Phil Lester: Phil placed a hand on Dan's arm,"That is very strange, Danny." He says as he kissed his cheek. "I love when you tell me about your day and work, but this today can we lay off of the homicide talk?" He asks as he sits up a bit more on the sofa, then looks at his boyfriend. "Have like..a relaxing night that doesn't consist of mentioning work?" Phil knew they wouldn't catch him anytime soon, the updates Dan gave him helped a lot in knowing this, but sometimes he just didn't want to think about it. if Dan ever asked why he was bloody and crying in an alley way, he'd lie to Dan, make something completely fake up.
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " Yeah, yeah, of course, love" he said and kissed Phil head " I didn't mean to make everything recently about this stupid PL investigation. Ive been paying more attention to that than you. Im so sorry" he said and pouted " Ill make it up to you, Philly, I promise" Dan walked about the house and came back after a while " Come into the living room....I have a surprise"
Phil Lester: "It's fine love." He says as he looks at him with a small chuckle, then sat up a bit more once he walked back into the room. "..Dan, what is it?" He asked as he stood with a goofy grin, moving closer to Dan. He placed a hand on his arm and followed him into the lounge.
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: He showed him the room he had made into a makeshift tent " Tada! It's like our first date all over again....I dunno, I thought it was kinda sweet" he shrugged and blushed slightly " Its probably really stupid"
Phil Lester: Phil grinned and kissed Dan's cheek,"Awh, Danny.." He mumbled against his cheek."This is adorable."
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " Thank you..." he said and gestured for the couch, patting the space next to where he sat " Before we start the movie, I need you to tell me something....the day we met...."
Phil Lester: Phil raised an eyebrow as he sat next to him. "Go on.." He already began to plot in his head.
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " What happened that day, hon? You've always lied to me about it and I just want to know....please"
Phil Lester: Phil furrowed his brows,"Dan..what are you talking about? How have I..lied about it?"
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " Phil, Im an investigator, I know the things you do when you lie. Tell me you hate me"
Phil Lester: Phil looked at Dan with a straight face,"I hate you."
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " You see, you did it even then. You close your eyes for a second afterwards, longer than a blink"
Phil Lester: "Because I don't hate you." Phil says with a frown as he grabs the remote,"Can we start the movie?"
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " Answer me, Philip Michael Lester. Tell me what happened to you the day I met you. Im not gonna be able to marry you without knowing"
Phil Lester: Phil stared at him and shakes his head,"Dan..you're..you're kidding."
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " No, Im not kidding, love" he said softly " Because the same day you were found like that, that was the start of the PL murders"
Phil Lester: Phil frowned,"Dan..you.."he frowned more. "Are you..you saying that you..think I'm..a murderer?" he whispered
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " I don't know what Im saying Phil I just need fucking answers.....please" he said " Im tired of dead end bullshit just tell me something"
Phil Lester: Phil stared at him,"Dan I don't have to tell yo anything when I've already told the truth." He says as he stands.
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " Then tell me again, Phil. Tell me a million times and maybe Ill fucking believe you just.....talk to me, Phil"
Phil Lester: He looked at him,"I've told you a thousand times!" He yells as he frowns
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " Then you know the story by now. Just tell me what happened the day I met you, Phil. From top to bottom"
Phil Lester: "I already told you, I went to a party, my boyfriend at the time cheated on me." He says as he swallows, shrugging as his eyes well up. "I..I fought the guy until my boyfriend jumped in and they beat the shit out of me, Dan."
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " Except that it doesn't make sense at all because I found you in London, covered in blood that was coming from nowhere as you weren't injured. You were shaking and crying in an /alleyway/ rather than a hospital or police station"
Phil Lester: "I ran away from them Dan!" he says with a frown,"I had to run, he was getting a fucking gun. The blood wasn't mine, it was my boyfriends and the other boys!"
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: Dan stayed quiet " Okay, love....okay, that's all you had to say, alright?" he says with a soft smile "Everything is okay"
Phil Lester: "No, it's not." Phil says as he grabbed his phone form the sofa. He walked out of the lounge and grabbed his jacket from the wall.
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " Phil, no..." Dan said and followed him, blocking the door " Don't....please don't leave me, not today, hun" he said softly "Ive gone paranoid just please.....". When he noticed his advances weren't working he said " The victim today was my brother"
Phil Lester: Phil looked at him in a skeptical manner. He knew it wasn't Dan's brother, but he couldn't let Dan know that. "Dan, no it wasn't. You would've been crying when you came home."
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " Phil, that was to get you to listen to me because you weren't responding. It wasn't my brother, it was my mom's brother, less important to me but it still hurt" he said and sighed " Please don't leave me alone.....I hate to admit it but Im terrified, honey"
Phil Lester: Phil stared at him,"You always accuse me of lying to you, but you just deliberately lied to me!" he exclaims as he looks at him. "Over someone /dying/?!"
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " You were't listening to me!" he exclaimed " And I told you the truth immediately after and it still was family, brother or uncle, same shit, family" he sighs " Just don't go, Phil"
Phil Lester: "Dan! Do you alwyas lie when you think I'm 'not listening' !?" He exclaimed as he looked at him.
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " No, just this time because it's important and I love and Im scared if you go you won't come back"
Phil Lester: "I'll come back." He says as he looks at him with a small frown.
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " What if you dont?" he says, sounding on the verge of tears " What if you die? What if PL gets you?"
Phil Lester: Phil stares at him and sighs, then pecks his lips. "Dan, I'll be back, I promise."
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: Dan hesitated then moved out of the way in defeat " If you die, Im blaming you and then Im gonna tell you I told you so"
Phil Lester: Phil rolled his eyes,"Whatever." He sighs and slips his coat on. "I love you, Dan."
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: " I love you too, sweetheart. Be safe" Dan said and kissed Phil's forehead " Im serious, be safe out there"
Phil Lester: Phil rolled his eyes slightly, but kissed Dan's cheek in return before leaving. It was odd, Phil didn't kill Dan's uncle. Someone was using his tag unless he unknowingly went out on a lash in the middle of the night.
Detective!Dan Howell (Murderer! Phil Lester){X for starter}: Dan had his phone on him the whole time in case Phil fell victim to the worse serial killer he's seen.
