My eyelids began to fall. I snappd them back open. I looked ovr at the girl. She hadn't told us her name yet. She had curly, light brown hair that cascaded down to her back. Her skin was ever so slightly tanned and she wore blue skinny jeans, a white tank top, and a light brown jacket. Suddenly, our car skidded to a halt. My had slammd into the seat in front of me. I cried out, then cam th darkness. When I woke up, I saw a pair of beautiful green eyes flecked with gold staring down into my blue ones. We were nose to nose. I gulped, forcing a cheery smile.

"Well, thanks! Thats an awful nice way to wake up!" She pulled back, a slow blush creeping into her cheeks. I grinned and sat up. Phoenix and Skye were also watching me intently. I noticed Skye had a trickle of blood coming out of his nose, and Phoenix had a bloody gash near his eye. No one was worse than the girl. Her light brown hair was matted with blood. She also had a few bad scrapes that were gushing blood. Without realizing what I was doing, I leaned in towards her. I gingerly touched each of the gashes and they healed. Her blush went from a light pink to a tomato red. Phoenix rolled his eyes and began to speak.

"So, um, not to interupt this 'Love Fest' but, you haven't told us your name yet girl." I looked away, my cheeks burning.

"Casey, my name is Casey." She said with dignity. I liked this girl. Phoenix nodded.gr

"Ok, we are going to get this show on the road. I found another Shadow lair just a few miles from here." We all nodded. Skye winked at Casey. She blushed. I shot him a death glare. He held up his hands in surrender.

"Sorry man, didn't know you two were in a relationship."

"We aren't" we said at the same time. I looked away and shoved my earphones into my ears and she did the same. 'Stella' by All Time Low blasted into my ears.Throughout the drive, I kept sneaking peeks at Casey. I caught her doing the same to me a couple times too. Skye looked back at her too, more secretively though. Phoenix pulled into a busy parking lot. I shot him a puzzled look. We walked into a crowded diner.

"Phoenix, what the hell are we doing here man?" I asked. He looked around.

"Shadows disguise themselves as humans too, you know." He looked around, focusing on the door to the kitchen. He marched over to it and swung open the door. Inside, a bunch of hooded figure stood around some sort of ball. Slowly, every hood was staring at us.

"Shit." Skye breathed.
