Scientifically created beings who are so advanced that their artificial and DNA infused skin, (nicknamed "ElectrOflesh") has become truly alive and accepting of all of the man made technology inside them....even their hard drive driven "brains" have unexpectedly begun to dream, to feel love, loss, joy, jealousy, anger etc....

A huge demand for more inanimate workers has sparked greed among the original creators of these beings but there is a glitch...the original "Thinking Man" whose name and model number is ADAM1213 has protested and is insisting that he has the right to sole ownership of his own "self"...and that the DNA that was used to create his living skin, now belongs to him and the others....that DNA is his "birth right" and his inheritance from the two scientist who donated it to the experimental project back in 2004.

The World Council agrees to a 300 year probation....and four models including ADAM1213 are sent back to 2004 to live out the time among their ancestral peers. If they can make it through all of the trials, hardships and pain it is to be human, then the ownership will be granted.....and they, along with all the others that come after them will be free to chose their own path after their contracted and paid service. They will be lawfully and morally recognized as free men.
