LOVE IS NOT FOR ME -

CH 7 - SANYU IS WEIRD

"I feel immense pleasure to announce the results of Abdul Kalam quiz competition. Our students Sanyukta Agarwal and Randhir Singh Shekhawat have brought glory to the school. They are the winners and will represent the school in the NATIONAL LEVEL. Give a huge round of applause for them." As the announcer completed, Sanyu and Rd came up to the the assembly hall stage to receive the trophy and certificates from Principal of their school.

RANDHIR'S POV

I could clearly see the smile in her face while we received the trophy. She was perhaps the happiest person (more than me) at the moment when the results were announced in Stephen's College. Her smile gives me comfort and I just love it as I barely see her smiling in the school campus. Why does she act different at school?She is so weird,full of mystery.

"Thank you sir" She said while she got her certificate. She signaled me to do the same.

"Oh, Thank you so much Sir. We could achieve this because of your support." I added these lines to impress him more and winked at her. She gave me 'Tumhara kuch nahi hoga' wala look and I smiled.

CANTEEN

"Whats up Sanyu?" I asked her as she was sitting alone there with a book

"Nothing much, u say" she replied but no smile

"What happened? Are u upset? I did something?" I asked her the reason

"Naah.. Are u nuts? I was only studying"

"Oh really, I thought u were dancing. Common Sanyu, u cant lie to me. U are not talking properly. I try to start up something and u leave. What going on?"

"U r very irritating, dont overthink and stay with your group. See there, girls are waiting for their hero to come to them and talk. Go now, I gotta study" she replied in an irritated manner. Something is fishy

"I will not go and will follow u wherever u go. What u gonna do?"

"Ok fine, stay here, I ll leave" Saying this, she left the canteen. What has happened to her?

buzz...

"Are u gonna give me your success party?" came a msg from my Nandini. Whenever the girls hear the name of Nandini, they fume in anger. They cant see me with anybody else. Sanyu is different and completely opposite.

"Yes, we will meet up in CCD in the evening. Will that be ok?" I text her back

"Yup. I ll come and bring Sanyukta as well. We should celebrate it together"

"I will tell her. Bye, I have classes" I excused myself from her cz I was constantly thinking about Sanyu. I should tell her about the get together.

SANYU'S POV

What is his problem? Why doesnt he leave me alone? Before this competition, I used to be alone and he would chill out with his friends or would be busy in solving love issues and mathematical equation. I have no clue as or why I dont want him near me. I love his company, we laugh, talk, enjoy and everything. But here..... What is happening?

I went to my class. The teacher came, congratulated me and started the lesson. He was interrupted by a voice which is familiar to me

"May I come in sir?" It was none other than Mr. Smarty. Why he is here? He should better be in his class

"yes, Randhir. Why are u here?" the teacher asked him politely.

"Sir, Naina Mam and Vidyut Sir have called Sanyukta for the discussion of the Nationals as we are leaving in one week. We need to prepare" He said. I could sense that something is wrong, why would they call me in between the class? I m already staying back after the school for the discussions

"Ok Sanyukta, go and prepare ur best.. I believe u both can do it." I left the class with his permission

"Where are they?" I asked him

"In the library. Come with me" He said. I followed him to the school library but there was no sign of them.

"Randhir, have u called me here to bunk the class?" I had an idea about his mischief""

"U have understood? Thats great. Come sit with me and bring a book so that the librarian doesnt scold" He replied casually. I have never bunked a class but because of him, I learnt it. He will make me bad for sure.

"I m going to the class" I wanted to leave with anger in my face.

"Really? Go then and say your teacher that u were bunking"

"Hate you, tell me why have u called?" I sat there helplessly

"Oh, actually me and Nandini will have a get together at CCD today. She wants u to join so that we can celebrate our win. We will go together" He said

"I m not going anywhere. U go and give her treat. I dont have time for all this." I know that I m behaving very coldly

"I dont know anything, u come and I ll take u there. Shut up ur mouth for now, I have tolerated enough of your nonsense since morning. I dont know why are u behaving so rudely with me. What is my mistake?U are really weird. Sanyukta Agarwal is weird. Do whatever u want, I m leaving"

He got up and I was there alone not knowing what to do. Is he right? What am I doing?
