Hi, so basically recently I've gotten like crazy obsessed with little DIY craft things that take barely any money not much time to create but look absolutely amazing and people admire your little personal touches, I'm quite a arty creative person anyway but I've just got so into this, I looked online for a lot of inspiration in the beginning but I always find websites make this kind of thing incredibly hard to understand so I thought I'd share some of my best ideas and creations with the wattpad world and put everything into a book, we all prefer to read books right?

Today I'm only gonna talk about one creation because I don't want to write loads and then this not be well recieved. But I am absolutely in love with using candles in my room I never light them because I'm a bit clumbsy and fire isn't really the best thing for me to be around but I love using them for display in my room they even make amazing bookends:) So basically this is just a way to kind of decorate your candles to suit you:)

To do this you will need:

-coloured glitter of your choice (your favourite colour, the colour of your bedroom?)

-masking tape

-pillar candle (whatever size you want ~ I like to do a short one and a really tall one, you don't have to do two though)

-glue

-scissors

-pen and paper

-more paper for catching glitter

-hairspray

Get whatever candle you wanna use first and also grab your masking tape.

You need to create whatever design you would like on your candle using making tape if your using two like me then just keep following what I do to be honest feel free to change the design or whatever you wanna do I'm gonna run through designing a simple shape on your candle and covering a section cause that's what mine look like however you wanna do it it's entirely your choice.

So I'm gonna start by taking my tall pillar candle and just wrapping my masking tape once around the candle roughly in the middle maybe slightly further towards the bottom and just leaving that where it is

Next on the bottom section I'm going to spread glue all over it (I used my fingers here which was a bad idea so I suggest using like a paintbrush or one of those glue spreading sticks).

After that pick up whatever colour glitter you have chosen and cover the area you previously glued in glitter (make sure you do this over a sheet of paper so we don't waste glitter or make a mess:))

Once your glued section is completely covered in glitter the whole way round you can go ahead now and remove the piece of masking tape we stuck on previously.

You should see that you've created some sort of sweet half glitter look.

Obviously the glitter is gonna be a real problem with it falling off everywhere, so take your hairspray whatever hairspray you have is absolutely fine although I would recommend something strong holding I personally am using a tresemme one, so just take your hairspray and spray it over the top of the glittered section, this will stop all your glitter falling off.

Now I'm gonna move into putting a little shape onto my candle so I'm gonna do a star on my candle but you can do absolutely anything you want.

I'm gonna start by taking a piece of paper and my pencil and drawing my star shape out being careful to make sure that the star will fit comfortably in the middle of my candle. (if your doing a heart circle or any symmetrical shape then feel free to fold your paper in half and draw half of your shape on the fold and cut it out then you'll have a perfectly symmetrically proportioned shape.

So after that I'm gonna cut out my shape from the paper.

Grab your masking tape back and stick your paper with your cut out shape to your candle on the edge of the paper so maybe taping the two edges that are unattached together across the back.

From there take your glue again and just fill in that area or shape that's cut out with glue.

Next add the glitter on top of your glue making sure you fill in your entire shape.

You can probably guess what to do next remove your paper stencil from your candle and you should b left with your glittered shape.

From there you can cover your shape in hairspray to prevent glitter falling off and voila two pillar candles made by you for you.

P.S. these also make an absolutely amazing gift whether it's your best friend or mum and Nan everyone loves these they can be used or put on display and you can tailor make them to show how well you know the person or just tailor make them to show you put effort in and tried they cost nearly nothing can be wrapped up decoratively to make them more attractive and are quick and simple for you to make you could even make one with the first letter of someone's name stencilied on these in their favourite colour:)

Hope you enjoyed:) and found useful:)

ByeBye
