New Beginning

Tyler's P.O.V.

* First day of school*

"Thanks mom for the lunch!"  Shouting as I left to catch the bus. Today is my first day at WestMen high school and I'm super nervous. I don't really have many friends anymore since I've moved. Ever since the situation happened when I was younger, I have never really fitted in with anyone else. All my friends left me because of my attitude and the way I started to dress. Most days I don't  even wanna be here. The life I live now is great, but it doesn't feel like it.

We started pulling into the high school. I quickly gathered my things. After the bus dropped everyone off, I quickly headed to the office to avoid any conversation with anyone. As I was walking to the office I could hear other students muttering things about me. Thankfully, I got to the office and waited for my class schedule. After waiting about 10 minutes I received my  class schedule and headed to my first class, which is Science. -_- I step into the classroom hoping the teacher wont introduce me to everyone.

" Good morning class!, Today we have a new student, Tyler Joseph" This day is gonna be great. *sigh*

"Hey" I said quietly.

"Hello Tyler, I'm Mr. Freeman, just go ahead and take a seat in the back next to Josh" I look up to see Josh in the back waving his arm in the air. I look around to see most of the students waving. God I really hate this school already. Out of everyone in here, I have to sit next to the hottie.

I sigh taking a quick breath and head to the back. When I reach my seat I look up to Josh smiling at me making direct eye contact. I try to say hey, but stutter when he cuts me off.

"Hey Tyler, I'm Josh. I'll help you with anything, so just ask me"

"Um, nice to meet you too. I don't think I'll need any help though." Oh my god, can this day get any better.... "Okay class, settle down please and take your seats" I quickly sit down and put my belongings on my desk. After sitting down Mr. Freeman started giving instructions on what today's classwork is gonna be. *five minutes later* All I can think about is Josh right now. He seems nice and I think, just maybe, him and I could be friends, but for all I know, well nothing that I know about him. All I see is a nice, smart, and genuine guy. He probably doesn't even wanna be friends....

"Hey Tyler?" Josh whispers to me. "Where you from?" Realizing he is speaking to me, I zone back into reality. "Wh-What??"

"I said where are you from??" repeating himself again. "Oh yeah, I'm from Columbus, Ohio." "Wow, that's cool." Josh smiling back. "Ha, not really. I didn't really like it that much." "Why not? I used to live in Columbus, Ohio a few months ago." Wait a minute....He lived in Columbus. How though, how had he lived there and I not notice him at all?? How is that even possible...After a few seconds into my thoughts I just tell him that my family had some issues. "Oh dang, I'm sorry. You'll like it here in Davis, trust me"

I jump a little from the sound of the bell. "You good Tyler" Josh asks me. "Yeah, the bell kinda scared me." I get up, grabbing my things, rushing for the door.

I turn around, seeing Josh trying to catch up behind me. "Hey Tyler!! Wait up!" Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!! Why can't I just walk alone... I don't wanna embarrass myself...Okay Tyler, you got this. Just take a deep breath and say hey, that's all, its easy. Its no big deal, like I just met the guy, so I can't be nervous. I turn around to say hey to him, but when I do, I bump right into him making all his things fall.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry about that!!" I bend down and help pick up his things. "No, no, no Tyler, you're fine. It's not that big of a deal, you just didn't see me behind you." "Still I am very sorry, I promise I'll watch where I'm going next time." Oh my god, What the hell is wrong with me!!!! Starting to feel a blush growing on my face, Josh and I make eye contact. Just those few seconds of eye contact I start to notice him blushing. Oh my shit! Josh is soooo adorable when he's all red....Does Josh have a crush on me?? He seems so straight and why would he like me?? I'm ugly as fuck, I'm weird, I don't fit in, and so many other things....I mean these are just theories, but who else blushes at people when making eye contact??

After everything that just happened we headed out in the halls. "So Josh, what class you have next??" saying to avoid talking about what just happened. "Oh yeah, Math 2"

"What's Math 2?? Is that calculus or something"

"Yeah, oh I forgot to tell you that lunch is in 10 minutes, so calculus will be after. Lets go to our lockers so we don't have to carry everything to lunch."

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Umm so can you help me find locker 234??" asking him.

" Yeah, yours is actually right across from mine. Do you need help opening it??"

"No I don't, I'll be fine."

As we walk to our lockers we talk about what our classes are...then out of nowhere he pulls me to the side. "Why the fuck did you do that Josh!??" "Tyler, you almost ran into someone." Oh my god not again....Just my day, me almost running into someone...." Thanks for saving me from embarrassment Josh. Soo wanna come hang out with me after-school?"

"Yeah sure."

"YAY" accidentally shouting out. My face instantly turns red when I hear everyone in the halls go silent. I did not mean to say that outloud....godddd whyyyy.

"Sorry guys, I just got a little excited." Did he really just do that for me?? Wow....okay I know this sounds completly insane but, I think I may be in love with him. He's so perfect and nice, I mean who wouldn't be in love with him.

"Why did you do that for me Josh?"

"Because I like you and I don't want you to embarrass yourself on your first day."

WAIT!!! JOSH LIKES ME!!! I can't believe this is really happening!! When someone saves you from embarrassment and says they saved you from it cause they like you means something!, right??!! Josh just gives me a concerning look as my face turns completley red. "You okay Tyler?? Your face is really red" I look up to him smiling, feeling the heat between us. "Yeah I'm fine, just nervouse, I guess."
