"So I was talking to Cameron last night after you fell asleep" carter says as we drive to my house
"And?"
"He reminded me that I haven't asked you a certain question"
"Oh"
"But im gonna save this question for later.. Okay?"
"Fine".
I know what he's gonna ask. I mean c'mon Cameron reminded him? He's gonna ask me to be his girlfriend I bet.
We pull up into my drive way and I run inside and change into shorts and a muscle tank and sandals. I put my hair into a messy bun.
I walk over to Andrews room and knock.
"Bro wanna come with us?"
"Where are ya going?" he yells
"I don't know, do wanna come though?"
"Yeah sure one sec" he opens the door and him and Melissa come walking out.
"Ummm, hey Melissa" I say and she gives me a small smile walks towards the front door. Andrew stays in the door frame watching her walk away.
"Did you guys do anything?" I ask him
"Well it depends on what you mean by 'anything'" he says following her out to Carter's car
"You know what I mean"
"Yeah we did" he says smirking.
"Oh gross!" I yell
"Hey you spent the night at a guys house!"
"Well I didn't do anything with them!"
"Oh c'mon, it's fine!"
"Whatever just get in the car"
The car ride back to Carter's house consisted of silence and the radio. Melissa and Andrew kept giving each other looks in the back seat. I tried to keep my gagging to a minimum.
We pulled into Carter's driveway and Cameron ran out and got in the back seat with Melissa and Andrew. Me and carter were in the front.
Carter drives out of the city and into the county. He finally pulls into this gravel road and pulls over to the side. He gets out and opens the trunk. The rest of us pile out and follow. Carter and Cameron get out a blanket and a picnic basket. A picnic!
They lay the blanket down on the green grass and everyone takes a seat. Cameron sits by carter and I sit on the other side of carter. Melissa sits on Andrews lap on the other side of the blanket.
"So are you guys dating now?" carter asks putting his hand on my thigh.
"Yeah I think" Melissa says, smiling, moving her eyes to Andrews. They then kiss making the rest of us feel awkward.
"Well I ship it" Cameron says breaking the tension. We all give a small laugh and then carter pulls out the food and stuff. We all take something and talk about random things.
After a while Carter stands up and gives me his hand.
"Can you come with me for a bit?"
He says as I stand up
"Um sure as long as you don't murder me" he laughs and starts to walk the other way. But then Cameron stands up
"Can I come?" he asks
"Actually I kinda wanted to talk to her alone" Carter replies turning his face back towards Cameron
"But I only have 2 more days here, why don't we spend it together?"
"But this will only take a couple seconds" Cameron sits back down and Carter pulls me away from the group.
We walk for about 5 minutes until he stop at this little creek. At the creek is a hammock and a bouquet of daisies. We pulls me over to the hammock and he takes a seat. He motions me to sit next him. I take my seat next and he grabs my hand. I look at him and his eyes are pouring into mine. He then looks down at our hands and then up at the sky. He then takes a big breath and says
"I've been wanting to ask you this for a little while now.."
