Perhaps you got sidetracked by someone pretty, skinny or funny. I wouldn't blame you if you arrived at the wrong doorstep but decided to stay. I'm probably not what you were expecting. You can never trust advertising nowadays.
Maybe you got double booked and had to make the decision on who to go to. In that case I totally understand! You must be pretty amazing to get double booked, I'm impressed.
