• probably can let their guard down when their with each other

• by that I mean they give each other the softest smiles (re: CRAYON/CIRCUS UR PAIR)

• at first they were totally formal during song writing sessions

• now they spend 80% of the time messing around

• doodling

• playing heart and soul on the piano

• multiple times

• have a ton of inside jokes nobody knows

• "hey remember that one lyric heheheh"

• Maki is totally the purest girl around Umi

• no tsun all love

• but they do rant

• about how immature the other members are

• and then they proceed to not write any songs

• they blame it on the fact that nobody helps them

• but sometimes they're super serious and get a ton of things done

• totally in sync with the music and timing when dancing and singing because they wrote that shit

• sometimes they sing the lyrics while Maki plays the piano and they compliment each other's voices

•  no matter how many times they do it they end up getting super blushy and flustered

• they call each other super cute

• Maki love arrow shoots Umi sometimes

• ITS SHAMELESS OF COURSE

• Umi will blow Maki a kiss

• she can't focus for the remainder of the session

• they call each other the same time everyday on weekends

• and hang out for fun at least one time a week

• when they go out shopping they literally buy the same clothes

•  they always have the most interesting conversations during lunch

• at least once are they approached by a fan

• of course maki's all chill about it because umi's shook

• so Maki always convinces her to at least get one picture with the fan

• sometimes they stay up late and just text for a few hours

• or they call each other and Umi falls asleep

• but sometimes Maki does

• Umi teases her for her cute snores

• honestly they're a dynamic duo

• Tomato Maki is Umi's favorite aesthetic

• Maki hates it

• So when they go to the beach Maki pretends to lose Umi in the "umi"

• "Umi? Where did you go? Were you swallowed by the water?"

• They thought about making a subunit once

• but immediately got stumped on names, songs, genre, and costumes as soon as they started to seriously consider it

• they could never agree but Maki would always say Umaki

• purposely gave themselves a chance to duet in BokuHika

• but were fine with letting Honoka into their lines

• speaking of BokuHika they spent hours packing in references

• Maki liked how the Umi pun made sense

• but then after a while they would start crying

• softly

• knowing this was the last song they'd write together

• they would hold each other

• give each other big, soft hugs

• after µ's disbanded they still hung out a lot

• they sung a lot

• they got matching tattoos saying µ'sic forever

• maki's in blue and umi's in red

• and they were friends for a very, very, very long time
