The next morning, the family slept in because they were tired from yesterday's events. Even Simon was being very stubborn about getting out of bed. So Paula sighed and told him the big surprise. She didn't want to tell him until later, but it was the only way she could think of to make him not only wake up but to get out of bed. And to her surprise, he literally flew out of bed. He couldn't wait to play with the little boy again. Then the happy couple shared their morning kiss just like any other morning. Simon and Paula tried to hide their happiness from the kids but one thing the parents forgot; their children were very smart. After breakfast and everyone had changed out of their pajamas, the parents sat the kids down and told them why they were so excited.

"Your new brother is coming over for a few hours today! Joshua needs to get used to us and our home, before we can adopt him."

The kids smiled from ear to ear.

"Your mother and I want you guys to be on your best behaviors, alright?" Simon said in a fatherly tone.

All four kids nodded.

"Please be careful with him. He's not as strong as you all are. He's not even two yet," Paula replied reminding the kids to play nice and safe.

"When is he coming?" Lily asked with a smile that looked stuck on her face.

Just then the door bell rang, answering her question. As Simon opened the door, there stood the adorable little boy who was wearing overalls with a red undershirt. He sported a cute smile and got excited when he looked up to see his favorite people. Simon glanced to his left to see his better half standing there smiling at the young boy.

"Hello, please come in!" he said mainly smiling and looking at the toddler.

Terri held out a red Elmo backpack. "Here. I'll pick him up at four. Bye."

"Wait just a second. Why are you acting like this? Are you angry about the adoption?"

"No I'm thrilled about that! I get a free afternoon without this ankle biter. So thank you for watching him! He's been driving me crazy."

Then she left without saying goodbye to Robbie. Simon and Paula were shocked at how Terri was treating them and the innocent child who was left on their doorstep. They both looked down to see him trying to step into the house while holding his Elmo by the neck, squeezing it too tight. Simon picked up the little tyke out of the doorway so that his better half could shut it behind them. Paula took a deep breath and walked into the family room with Simon following her while still holding Robbie in his arms.

"Guys we would like you to meet your soon-to-be little brother, Robbie," Simon said with a grin as he placed the little boy on the ground.

Just then all four kids got on his level, however they could and greeted him.

"Come on let's go to the backyard!" Paula said smiling.

She held out her hand for the little boy to latch onto, but instead he lifted both hands upwards.

"Up?" Robbie asked, tilting his head to the right.

"Of course, sweetie!" Paula replied as she bent to pick him up. He was lighter than she thought.

"Wow he talks! I didn't know he had a voice." Simon said surprised.

"Well maybe our son is warming up to us," she replied, rubbing the little boy's back.

"I like hearing that, 'our son'. It has a nice ring to it."

"Yeah it does. Now Daddy, are you coming with us or not?"

"I wouldn't miss this for the world!"

"Well come on. Were you waiting for a formal invitation?"
