Chapter 12

*at the firehouse*

Herrmann POV
'Hey guys, has someone heard anything from Dawson and Casey?' Brett asked. 'Yeah, I called them yesterday. They said they really like hawaii and they're coming home tomorrow.' I answered. 'Okay, good because I really miss my partner.' I walk over to the couch where mouch is sitting... as always. ;) 'hey Mouch, do you know who was gonna cook today? Because I don't see food anywhere.' 'I think it was Cruz this time.' And at that moment Cruz walks in. 'Hey Cruz, when are you gonna start making dinner for us?' 'Oh yeah, right. I'm gonna get started right now.' When he walks away to get the ingrediënts, we hear like a gunshot or something. We all stand up and want to go outside to look what happened, but when we're at the door a few guys run inside the firehouse. I look down at their hands and I see that they're all holding a gun. 'Hey you guys, what is all this? Did one of you just shooted with a gun?' I ask them with a mad voice. I actually am really scared but I don't show it. 'Shut up and get in that room! All of you!' Someone of that group yelled. Everyone listens to him and gets inside. 'Everyone sit down!' The guy says loudly. We all sit down and just look at them. Everyone of the firehouse is in here expect for Boden and Severide. Maybe they can help us. 'And what is your plan now? Are you just gonna stand there all day long?' I ask them. 'I said shut up! I don't know ok?! We're just gonna stay in here untill those guys outside are gone.' And at that moment Boden walks in. 'Why are you guys yelling, just do...' and then he sees the guys with the guns. 'What are you doing in my firehouse?!' Boden yells at them. 'Who are you? The big boss?' 'Yeah actually I am. I'm the chief.' 'Well, chief. Sit down and shut up like everyone else!' He points his gun at Boden so he sits down. And then the guy turns around to talk to one of his "friends". I take out my phone to text Severide:

"Don't come to the kitchen. Some guys with guns are here. Call the cops."

I look at the guy and he turns around. I quickly press "send" and put my phone away.

Severide POV
I'm just getting out of the shower and put my clothes on when I get a message. It's from Herrmann.

"Don't come to the kitchen. Some guys with guns are here. Call the cops."

I quickly call halstead.
(S - Severide, J - Jay halstead)
S: Jay, it's Severide. you and the others need to come to the firehouse now. There are some guys with guns in the kitchen.
J: okay, I'm gonna get Voight. And where are you?
S: I'm in the one of the showers hiding.
J: okay good, stay there. We're on our way. Has someone used their gun?
S: I don't know. I don't think so.
J: okay, we're on our way.

I hang up and right after that I hear a gunshot. I can't stay here. I gotta go look what's happening. I go slowly to the hallway and I look through the window. They shotted Otis in his shoulder. He's sitting on the floor, against the wall. Cruz wants to go to Otis but the guy with the gun says he can't go. I go outside through the other side of the house and I see the cops coming. Voights walks up to me. 'Are they still inside?' He asks. 'Yeah, and they shot Otis in his shoulder.' Voight walks back to the other cops. They grab the mic and say: 'this is the police, there are cops all around the firehouse so you can't run away. We are gonna call the phone that's inside the firehouse so we can talk.' Someone takes out his phone and starts calling. I think they picked up the phone because the cop is talking. I go closer to hear their conversation. He puts it on speaker. 'What do you guys want?' The cop asks to them. Nobody answers. 'Can you at least say why you're doing this? Maybe we can fix all of this.' The cop asks. 'Dude, there's nothing you can do. It's over.' He hangs up and then we hear a couple gunshots.
