I felt a rush of adrenaline once the concert was over and I was very thirsty. I ordered my 7th beer and a round of shots. Matt and Ashley joined me for shots and ordered more drinks. Ashley was bouncing off the walls with excitement and Matt was entertaining her enthusiasm. I had another shot. My braid had come undone so I put it up into a high ponytail.

Colin, Adam and the girl who I learned was Doris, came out and both Adam and Colin were surrounded by groupies. Looks like they have their pick of the flock. I see a variety of sexy and cute girls rubbing themselves up against them, while Doris looks genuinely pissed off. I order two beers and walk over to her. She looks at me with surprise as I offer her the beer.

"Cool show," I smile, "you guys been playing long?"

She snatches the beer from me and chugs some of it before saying, "Since we were 14."

"That's some dedication," I comment, "you've got quite the following, How do you feel about that?"

"You after getting to Colin or something?" she snaps, "Go fling yourself at him like the other groupies!"

"Okay, I was being fucking nice! You looked miserable over here by yourself, so I thought I'd try and talk to you," I say, annoyed, "obviously there's a reason your alone if this is how you talk to people!"

I storm off chugging my beer and leave the bar. I turn down the street and go into a quieter bar further down the street and decide to order myself a triple vodka coke and a round of shots.

"It's not cute to drink excessively, sweetheart," the bartender warns.

"I'm not trying to be cute, I'm trying to get blackout wasted," I reprimand.

He raises his hands in surrender and gets me my drinks. I down the shots and start nursing my vodka when a huge crowd of people enters the bar: it's Colin's band and a few groupies. I sigh heavily and check my phone, Ash sent me a text saying she hopes that I'm okay, and she's going home with Matt. I roll my eyes and look over at the crowd of people and notice Colin is gaining the attention of the 3 groupies, Doris had stormed off and Adam looked like an awkward 4th wheel. He spots me and breaks out into a big smile.

"So, this is where you disappeared to after your fight with Doris," he grinned.

"Ugh, people saw that?" I groaned.

He shrugs, "A little. Don't worry about her, she's suspicious of every girl around us, she's very protective."

"No excuse to outright accuse me of wanting to be in Colin's pants," I snort, "it's obvious she likes him, and it's obvious he doesn't see her that way."

"Yeah, we're like family, we've been together so long," he reminisces.

"It's nice isn't?" I comment.

"What is?" he asks."Having family that isn't actually family," I say, "for some people, it's all they have."

"Yeah, for us that's the case," he replied, "we all have a bad history."

"It's rare to find someone who doesn't," I muttered, then gesturing to Colin with my chin, "does he always steal your girl?"

Adam laughs, "More often than I'd like, I let him because it's never anything too serious, but if I seriously liked a girl I'd fight more."

"And have there been any occasions where that's been the case?" I asked, resting my chin on my hand.

"Not yet," he winked, "but who knows, maybe the Angel I'm looking for is right there in front of me, I just don't know it yet."

"Well, I wish you luck with your quest for an Angel," I say, toasting with my beer.

"Well, I'll probably head home after this," he sighed.
