We sat on Emma's bed trying desperately to make conversation.I want her to like me so much.
"So you play the bass?". I asked almost rhetorically.
"No shit Sherlock!" She laughed.
Her bedroom was cool. Dark navy walls covered in band posters and one large 'Panic!'cloth tapestry/poster/flag thing. Adjacent her bed hung two bass guitars.
"Woah. That's the same bass Dallon Weekes plays!"
"You bet!" She laughed. "He's incredible"
"I always wanted to play bass." I smiled. "Seems so badass!"
She giggled. Slowly she lifted the guitar off the wall hanger and handed it to me. "C'mon, I'll teach you a note."
"Put your finger there" she pointed.
"Here?"
"Down a bit"
Not really knowing what she meant I looked up in confusion. She flashed a grin."like this" she gently touched my fingers to the strings.
It felt weird. Her hands were soft and cold.
Her thin fingers laced around my right hand to show me how to pick it.
"Your doing it!" She laughed.
I smirked.

What was this feeling? It was like one million butterflies inside her stomach. Almost the feeling of wanting to k-
- WHAT WAS I SAYING?!
"You're cute when your nervous." She whispered.
I chuckled like an idiot.
Emma's hand twirled a strand of my hair.
"I hate it. Wish it has black. My whole family are blondes so my mum would have a fit if i dye it"
"I think its beautiful." She said softly.
Her teeth were blindingly white.
The feeling came over me again-the butterflies. This girl had me confused. But i liked it.
And she knew I did.She hung the bass back on the wall and flopped onto the bed next to me. We were facing each other. Just like the fault in our stars. Just not as close and cuddly.
"Look im just gonna say it." She laughed. "I-
-"girls!" Joanne said cheerfully as she burst in.
Immediately we sat up.
"Luna, i have some PJ's for you. And a sleeping bag. Unfortunately be left the air mattress in the garage and the garage is flooded."
The rain was pissing down. I hadn't even noticed.
"It's late, you girls get some rest"
"Goodnight" Emma said smiling smugly.
