The corpse

I'm horrified as I look at the dead body standing in front of the caution tape. The body was identified as Madelyn Katcher. My best friend. Now she wasn't the most friendly person or the most cooperative but that had nothing to do with what had happened. No girl, neither me or Madelyn deserved this Junior year of high school. They enclosed her in a black body bag to preserve her for an autopsy. No one knew anything about the crime, or so we were told. It honestly wasn't that unusual since there had reports of strange occurences but no one had taken that into account. Just as they were finishing up closing off the rest of the murder scene I noticed something. There was a note. The note read, "You can't run. You can't hide. But you can stop another murder from happening. There is a pattern to my killing method. I may be sycho but I can still make a method. In 3 weeks another student will die. Leading up to the tragic event, you will find clues, but it won't be that easy to piece them all together. You, Emily, are the one this note was meant for. Say anything to anyone and I'll reduce it to 1 week. And remember, I'm always watching."
